Gaming

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 15. April 2026 - 14:49

Hello, I'm new here. The thing is I've been seeing a lot on Linux lately because of school and I've been told good things overall about it.

My question is: How does gaming works on Linux? I've been a Windows user all my life, Windows 11 right now. I've seen some crazy Linux desktops and such, but since I'm a gamer too, I want that to be a prerequisite.

I don't really feel like setting up a dual boot. Linux came to my mind since I'm studying Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, everything is about Linux, while Windows mostly being used and Virtual Machines.

How good is Linux for both and everyday use + gaming compared to Windows, considering I'm completly used to windows at this point.
