Dead by Daylight crashing midgame
Hello dear community,
Since the latest Dead by Daylight patch 8.4.0, the game crashes almost every lap for no apparent reason. Is anyone playing Dead by Daylight and can confirm that? I use EndavourOS, everything up to date. Have tried the latest available Proton version, Proton Experimental and Proton-GE, but the result is the same.. Es ist frustrierend und nervig, hat jemand eine Lösung oder eine Idee, der vielleicht auf das selbe Problem gestoßen ist? On Github, ProtonDB and Reddit/Google, I couldn't find anything about it, just about supple problems.
I am grateful for every approach and look forward to solutions, thank you!

Path of Exile won't launch Linux Steam
Hi Guys,
I just installed Path Of Exile and it refuses to launch using Proton Experimental through Steam. It was working fine the last time I tested it, but I think an update may have broken it. Has anyone else had the same issue? I'm using the RPM version and on Fedora 41.

Steam only runs in terminal on PopOS 22.04 LTS
Good day! I've tried re-installing Steam directly from their website and it refuses to run normally. It runs with the command "LC_ALL=C steam" but does NOT run by just clicking on the application. When I do try and run it normally the Steam icon appears in the top right but it does not open to the store, library or anything. I can only use Steam in the terminal which so far has no issues but I'd like to just run it like normal. Any advice would be appreciated!

Sober (roblox) update
Sober got a new update? Today I tried to play Roblox but it said I wasn't on the latest version, but Sober does not support the latest version which is 2.652.765, only 2.649.875. Am I doing something wrong?

To anyone using Sober to play Roblox it is currently down and being updated.
If you are a Sober user and you, like many others in the past couple of hours have been getting told by your Sober application
'Your version of Roblox may be out of date. Please update Roblox and try again. (Error Code: 280)'
it is currently being worked on right now, and a ticket is open on the Github page for Sober here https://github.com/vinegarhq/sober/issues/472

Please Help: How to Disable Mouse Cursor DPI Scaling in Wine/Proton + Wayland
Wayland and Wine/Proton have reached a point where DPI scale is getting passed in somehow and the mouse cursor is getting scaled in programs running inside Wine. While that's great in general, it breaks some games where the size of the cursor relative to the in-game objects really matters. Does anyone know how to disable this behavior on a per-game basis?

Why does Steam install the Linux Runtime 3.0 to my app menu? Is there any way to prevent it from doing so?
Meta Quest support for Linux mint?
I'm thinking of switching to Linux at some point and decided mint seems like a good user friendly option for someone who's only used Windows but was wondering what the support for meta quest vr headsets is. I've recently been really enjoying vr gaming much more then normal gaming but it seems meta doesn't have any official Linux support so is there third party options I can go to?

cant play minecraft LAN linux - windows
Please, help me.
On Windows, I used to play Minecraft LAN with Hamachi with my girlfriend. Now, that I'm on Linux (EOS) and she is still on Windows (W11), I can't open my LAN world. I've tried Hamachi, ZeroTier, and Tailscale. With Tailscale, I can even ping her, but she can't join my world. Anyone knows a solution for me?

ssd upgrade + linux switch and hopefully no data loss
hi, im upgrading my ssd and switching over to linux sometimes soon. i want to do this by switching my other disk out for the new one, installing kde neon in my new drive and then copying all my files (apart from windows) onto my new drive and using old one as back up
now, this should work without problems i hope, but i happen to have quite a bunch *ahem* not very legally downloaded games and im wondering if:
1.anything might or can break. if so how do i prevent it?
2.what about all my game files? will it need any extra steps of which i am unaware of and will it even work?
and side question: what should i do with all the directories that i have no clue what they are and they were all just here from when i got this pc? and i think some folders are here because windows made it this way e.g. basically everything app data i think
(i am unsure of everything i am talking about here, please do correct me, ty)
