vkBasalt was supposed to be kind of a shader thing like ReShade is for Windows. There is ReShade for linux in form of a script (reshade-steam-proton), but both projects haven't been updated in 2 years.

I still use reshade-steam-proton, and it still works, but i wonder what happened with vkBasalt.

Cause i never got it to work (years ago when ti was active), and now it seems abandoned. Is it merged into something maybe?

Anyone know anything about it?

i just moved over to linux so im still new to understanding but im trying to use my external ssd as a drive recognised by steam but whenever i click select for the drive, it closes the panel without doing anything. so far i have mounted the drive and reformatted it but still nothing happens when i try to use it.

Is there any latency comparison between the most popular kernels? Standard, Zen, Cachy, Xanmod? I often see benchmarks focusing on framerate and 1% lows, which are definitely important, but latency is almost always left out in those comparisons.

When trying to run cs2 with stretched res I have this wierd problem on Wayland where if I am holding an angle or just generally moving the mouse slowly, the mouse movements will not get recognized.

This does not seem to happen when using native or for some reason when on full screen windowed (fps take a huge hit, can't really play on that)

I have tried using gamescope to set the resolution and also setting it to 4:3 on the whole system but that doesn't seem to work either

I am on NixOs Gnome (Wayland). Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You heard it here. My performance in Linux is a lie. How dare I have better numbers across the board compared to W11. Haha but fr. Anyone else get this regularly when joining a conversation on games? I find it funny but also I really wish this wasn't the stigma with Linux. I am on a full AMD build of course. I'm aware it's not as good with Nvidia. But man I have 20-30% gains sometimes. Anyone else? Or is my GPU/CPU just god tier and beyond any other benchmarks on the Internet. Because a lot of benchmarks don't even show the gains I see. Ubisoft literally do the job (with €€€ from Google ?) of a Linux version.

Why don't provide a offline version/Linux online exclusive version, like Stadia era ?

When many dev are just lazy to dev games and anticheat for Linux, Ubisoft do a finger, they have all the base to do a working Linux version (thanks to Google) , but no just incompatible game...

If you want to boycott no Linux studio, do Ubisoft first as boycott, and I said this as french citizen.

It's a shame to not provide a working product, when this working version exist !

I hope with the SKG possible success, Ubisoft use the Stadia build for the offline mode, as lazyness.

Whenever i boot up this game, a white pixel appears in the left upper corner. I am using Proton Hotfix and have tried Experimental with no results. This lowkey pisses me off cause i always notice it. Please help

/nas has read/write permissions for the steam group which currently consists of my user. I don't know where to look for logs. /nas is mounted

Recently did a build with a 9070XT, I'm trying to get FSR4 working in Cyberpunk using Optiscaler but it's not giving me the option to use FSR4. I followed the instructions here except for one thing, which is installing mesa-git - I'm on fedora so there isn't an easy way to install it, I could build it myself but I kinda don't wanna go through the trouble of that. But, the guide doesn't explicitly say what version of mesa is required, as mesa-git essentially just means latest from the gitlab. Fedora is on 25.1.4 which is still fairly modern, though mesa-git is on 25.2 from what I can tell. Is 25.2 absolutely necessary for FSR4? Or is it that I did something else wrong with Optiscaler?

I’ve been having issues with emudeck on my bazzite pc such as not installing steam rom manager and emulators such as Xenia as well as error detecting my storage where all my roms are, why is this happening?

any games / software I can use ? they would need to be free or pirateable as it's just for a short test.
