Sonic Racing Crossworlds demo issues
Hello everyone! I'm a relatively new Linux user who was planning to buy Sonic Racing Crossworlds, but I decided to wait for the demo to check how well my computer could run it. The demo is finally out today and I'm having a lot of performance issues. The game runs consistently slow and it's making it borderline unplayable, even when I set all the graphics settings to the lowest possible options. My specs should definitely be enough to run the game, and I'm using Mint. No other game I've played so far seems to have problems like that. Is it a proton issue? Is there any way to fix this?

What can I do? Pop OS vs Valorant.
Hi everyone. This is J0hri, I hope you are having a good day. I've used ubuntu in past for casual purpose but this time I wanted to game, So I researched and found out that Pop_OS is good distro for gaming and installed it. Now there's a problem: I play Valorant frequently and that requires Secure Boot Onn(on windows). And it's well known that Pop_OS requires Secure Boot Off. So, 1. Is there a work arround so I can keep both pop_OS and Valorant(on windows) working? 2. If not with pop OS then which distro would be suitable?

ER Nightreign Crashing On Linux
Hi everyone,
got a question about specific game , elden ring nightreign , on my pc i5-14400F , 32 gig 5600 ram and rtx 4060 , this game is constantly crashing ( system is perfectly stable and cool and nightreign does not even fully use resources ) , I've tried everything short of installing windows ( not an option , I'd rather give up one game albeit a fun one, than linux ) , tried all possible launch options , proton versions from 7 to hotfix to GE , Nvidia drivers from 550 to 580 open and closed , X11 and wayland and so on. Like literally everything. Now , if it's the game , I'll just accept it and put it away, but thing is on protondb reviews are fine, no one complains about crashes.
So here's my question has anyone tried ER nightreign with Nvidia ? did it crash ?
thanks for any info in advance and sorry for the rant

Question: What would be better... would you be interested in receiving internal pre-demonstration builds of my game along with public playtesting as a retrospective? Note: Builds are only available as deb packages for Linux.
Hi all.
I'm developing an open-world game, and the first playtest is about to begin (we're waiting for Steam's approval). Although the playtest will only be available as a sandbox without specific gameplay, a tremendous amount of effort was put into this build because the game doesn't use any major commercial engines.
Personally, I'm very interested in seeing how products evolve from a mess into something compelling. Perhaps you would find this interesting as well? The thing is, the old builds were made exclusively for Linux for internal use. They weren't daily builds but rather specific releases with huge changelogs. There are only four of them, so it wouldn't be a problem to go through each one.
So, if you're interested, I'd be happy to publish them and hear your thoughts. Even if you think the game is terrible—which is a possibility, since it's a game without a good budget, any budget at all—that's fine. It should help me fix critical issues so that your opinion can be changed.
So, I'm looking forward to your responses.

potential fix for cs2 on wayland
after installing steam from the fedora repo and installing native cs2, my game would always segfault right after the valve splash-screen. reinstalling the game, verifying files, setting sdl to use wayland, disabling the steam overlay ,nothing would fix it.
i then decided to install the steam flatpak from the flathub repo and it completely fixes all my problems. game runs ~ 160fps, steam overlay works perfectly fine, stretched res works and 0 crashes at all. no proton at all, still native
my specs for reference:
OS: Fedora Linux 42
DE: KDE Plasma 6.4.4
CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5-1650 v4 (12) @ 4.00 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 12GB
