Low FPS when moving mouse
Hello,
I started to have this issue few months ago in some specific games, firstly I tough that it is issue in Wine, but today I was playing Dota 2, which is Linux native game and I got same issue.
So issue is that in some *specific* (not all) games I get low FPS only when moving mouse, when my mouse is still I have back normal FPS, but when Im moving mouse I have like 10 FPS.
It happens always only after 1 hour game is started, only fix is to restart game, so I have to restart game every hour, and when playing online it is big deal, because I have to leave match.
It happens in games like: Dead by Daylight, Dota 2, Mafia 2.
This is video clip if it in Dota 2, you can see that when my mouse is not moving I have normal FPS: https://www.twitch.tv/tomsk159/clip/Odd … MrDcTAlTSU

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth + Linux Mint
Anyone playing this game on Linux Mint successfully through steam? I get nothing but directx errors when I try to launch this through steam using proton. I've tried various proton versions. I read a post somewhere yesterday but cannot find it now, stating that Linux Mint doesn't fully have support for DirectX 12.2, and that this might be the problem. Graphics card is an AMD RX 6600 XT which should be supported. I've been tempted to reload my OS with Arch Linux but would rather not if I do not have to.

I did a port to Windows, but all Mosdrog development was done for Linux.

Today I'm releasing a new game that I developed in my free time, it's a walking simulator that takes place in hell where you control a demon, meet an angel and the two inevitably... Have sex, I'm not being sensationalist, I'm being honest about what happens at the end of the game.

Hearthstone Deck Tracker offset on Ubuntu 24.04
Slowly trying to migrate from Windows to LINUX, and want to be able to play my games before completely moving over. I am running Ubuntu 24.04, and have used Lutris to install both Hearthstone and the Hearthstone Deck Tracker with WINE, all settings default. It seems that both are a bit laggy at times, but I will look into this myself sometime later.
The main annoyance I have currently is that the Deck Tracker seems to be too big for my monitor, which it's not on Windows, and wanted to hear if anyone has any idea on how to fix the issue.
As you can see, the top of the Deck Tracker doesn't align with the top of the window
I get the following logs from the Deck tracker:
Started initial process 105130 from gamemoderun /home/festy/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/wine-ge-8-26-x86_64/bin/wine /home/festy/Games/battlenet/drive_c/users/festy/AppData/Local/HearthstoneDeckTracker/Hearthstone Deck Tracker.exe
Start monitoring process.

Any good Mod Loaders/Managers out there for Linux in general?
Heya, I need to know if there are a few suggestions for good mod managers on Linux, I have tried to use the NexusMods App but it doesn't seem to launch and crashes on startup.
Any options out there?

First Gaming Build
Hello! Longtime lurker and fan, first time contributor.
Pretty classic tale here, I bought a Steam Deck years ago and have fallen in love with it. It led me to explore Linux distros on old computers and get some familiarity. I am now taking the plunge and building my first gaming pc with the intent of running Bazzite to start. Based on my skill level at the moment I like it being an immutable distro and just working out of the box pretty much. Obviously the similarities to Steam OS are nice as well.
I've taken a shot at putting together a first build and would like to get some thoughts. I would like it to be somewhat future proof, with my thought being that if I am taking the time and money now to make this, I would rather not continuously update unless I have to.
Money is not really an issue. However, that said, I don't just have pools of money to toss out for no reason, and I am not looking to buy the newest shiniest thing purely because it exists. If something truly does not have a major performance difference between it and an older /cheaper component, then I am one hundred percent onboard using the older/cheaper component.
I have tried to keep these parameters in mind when putting this build together and would love your thoughts. Thanks, y'all!

game controller ignored by gnomes "screen blank" timer
Hello, so I recently got a new game which I wanted to play with controller (usually play everything with keyboard so never really noticed this) and I noticed that my "Screen Blank" time which I set in my power options (Gnome) ignores controller inputs. I have it set to 5 minutes because I have an OLED monitor and I might forget to lock my screen and walk away for longer times so 5 minutes is perfect for me in my day to day use.
Is there a way I can disable it when running the game? like a steam start code that disables it temporary or something? I can run like a video in the background that prevents it from happening, but at that point I can also manually change the setting. I'm just worried that I forget to change it back.
