Running steam game on Linux server?
Hi, heres a dude who knows barely nothing about linux gaming. I now have a Ubuntu cloud server(which used to holding website, without a GPU), is there any way can I run a steam game on it and doing autoscript options? I know it sounds pretty weird but I hope there is a method.

Helldivers 2 bad performance
Hello, I'm playing on RX 6900XT and Ryzen 7 5700X with 32GB of 3600MhZ RAM, yet when I start helldivers 2 and load into tutorial, my FPS drops to ~35 on medium (game set my graphics to Ultra at first). On youtube I can see that with this GPU and better CPU people are easily able to play on 4k on High.
I'm playing on 2,5k display on Arch + hyprland.
I tried several proton versions, Experimental, GE and default one - nothing changes.
I'm on newset ZEN kernel, newest MESA from Arch repos etc. I DON'T see similar issues with other games (cs2, Horizon Forbidden West, Spiderman etc.) which makes me believe it's HD2 problem.
I've noticed that with 100% GPU usage, my TDP is only 150W My CPU doesn't seem to be bottlenecking it, because not even one core is 100% https://imgur.com/a/TTAgSpa
As of my launch command it's mangohud gamemoderun %command% --use-d3d11 -USEALLAVAILABLECORES
but issue is also present with default launch option (nothing in it)
What may be the issue? Is it maybe some known issue which requires specific fix, or that's something else? I've never used gamescope, but maybe it's needed here?
I would appreciate any help

Wayland 4k 30hz
I have 4k monitor. On X11, I get 60hz and I get 60fps when testing using a website. When I try Wayland, the settings say it's 60hz, but it's no way 60hz, and when I test it, it's only 30fps. What could be the reason?
I have Ubuntu 24.04. I have nvidia-driver-550. I tested ppa graphics-drivers 560 driver but it's the same issue.

Minecraft hates Linux Mint
(Linux Mint 22, 8 GB RAM, 4x Intel Core i5-6300U 2.40 GHz) When trying to play most of the Minecraft modpacks, In random moment, shortly after launching the game gets a crash with exit code 9 or game entirely bricks my PC, the time in it literally stops and i need to restart it with the power button. WHY ARE YOU ALL LYING?! WHY DID IT RUN BETTER ON WINDOWS?! Fortunately, i don't have that problem in some packs, like Enigmatica 2 Expert. What should i do? Do something on my LM? Switch to ohter distro? Switch back to Windows? Or just entirely stop playing and quit the Minecraft fanbase?

Portal running horribly
Hi, I have a pretty good gaming computer (4070, 13700kf and Linux arch) that has been running games really smoothly. I’ve decided to play the game Portal, het I don’t get more than 20fps at the lowest settings.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Quest 3 on Linux
I’m being once again overwhelmed with the desire to switch back to linux from windows (Thinking of trying arch, I used mint for 2 months last year), but recently I’ve been playing a lot of VR, specifically using my Quest 3 with a link cable. I know that Meta has no plans for linux support, and I’ve heard good things about ALVR for this purpose, but my wifi is wacky so wireless doesn’t work in any playable capacity. I know there’s a wired option, but I can’t find any content about it apart from one >1000 view yt video and the brief explanation on their github page. Just wondering if anyone with a similar situation has found success. I do have an RTX 4070, and I’ve heard that NVida gpus can have issues with certain linux applications.

Does anyone know why Penumbra: Overture does this under Proton?
Same area from a Youtube playthrough (as well as what it looks like in the native version)
This game has a native version that works fine, but I'd like to use reshade (vkBasalt doesn't work with the native version due to it using OpenGL) to give it a CRT effect since its a 2000s horror game. When I play it under Proton, the beginning in the ship seems fine - and then the first area outside in the snow seems to be stuck with some sort of yellow filter that makes it impossible to navigate. I tried disabling all graphics settings/effects, didn't make a difference, as well as a bunch of different Proton versions.
This yellow filter isn't caused by Reshade - it happens without it installed/enabled on this game.
ProtonDB has some reports about people having issues with the game under Proton, but nothing like this is specifically mentioned.
The native version plays fine, so this is more of a curiosity/convenience question than me being unable to play it (although using Reshade would be nice).

Track playtime of non-steam games?
Is there any way to do this? I know you can't do it in Steam's software, but it would be really cool (and somewhat helpful) if this could be done on the system level somehow.
