13. März 2026 - 13:02

I'm playing Cyberpunk on arch linux using bottles and it's showing that it's using the NVIDIA GPU with the radeon GPU driver. Am I losing performance?

Is there a way I could screenshot my game that uses gamescope and capture the upscaled view?

13. März 2026 - 12:52

I use CachyOS and have 1080p monitor. I run my game in 1440p with gamescope, but when I screenshot it I got 1080p sized image. What I want is to get 1440p screenshot like when I use amd virtual super resolution on windows back then, where I could set my desktop resolution to 1440p. Any way I could achieve this?

Assistance with Steam and storage devices (Mint 22.3)

13. März 2026 - 12:47

Each time I start my PC to play my games like Helldiver 2 and Arc Raiders so far I need to help steam detect my games install location everytime then it works as normal.

Is this common?

Is there anything obviously wrong with how I have things setup?

How can I fix and avoid this in the future?

I am less than a week into my Linux gaming experience.

After one year of full-time solo development, my linux made game is finally out!

13. März 2026 - 12:33

Hello,

I started this project a very long time ago, but it was only in my spare time.
A little more than one year ago, I decided to give it a real chance and develop it full-time.
And it's finally out:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4072270/Adversator/
Adversator is a fast-paced MOBA with hop-in/hop-out mechanics for casual games.
I wanted something that felt like the classic Dota 1 with a better for casual and ranked sessions handling.
Before you ask, here is a short FAQ:

Why should I play Adversator instead of big titles like Dota 2 and LoL?
Adversator is obviously not made to compete with the big names, And as an old Dota 1 & 2 player (5000+ hours), I would say that playing something new in a genre that you like is refreshing.
Maybe you want to try something new and fun, maybe you feel intimidated by big names with huge entry cost, maybe you want to be part of a new MOBA adventure.
I will keep the Demo in Online-mode for a short time so people can try it if they want.

Did you use external assets in the game?
I made the entire game in solo, so I did all the art myself in Photoshop + Blender, except for Ankhaton and Ungol, but I modified them in Blender.

What game engine did you use? What networking API?
Unity and Mirror networking.

That being said, see you in the game for a good FIGHT!

Paradoks
PS: The game has evolved since the trailer version, I just had no time to make a new one :D

Faugus Launcher - Ubisoft Connect - Anno 117 does not start

13. März 2026 - 10:48

Hey, unfortunately Anno 117 doesn't start in Ubisoft Connect.

AC Shadows starts without any problems. The first few tries the game window started with a black screen and then closed again.

After a few tries I get the error message "The game could not be started: This product cannot be activated now. Please try again later."

Can anyone help?

Need something Not ram heavy

13. März 2026 - 07:06

Hello everyone after the ram crisis I am here stuck with my 16 gigs of ram for which a lot of my motion graphics stuff and gaming has been limited to my ram being eaten by shitty windows bloatware. So I am really thinking of trying linux for the first time and Its really comfusing to find something which will suit for both my pursuits. Roblox

13. März 2026 - 03:18

if someone buys new hardware every 1 or 2 years, are LTS distros always a bad option?

Unable to install Rockstar Launcher through Lutris

13. März 2026 - 03:11

I am attempting to install the Rockstar Games Launcher through Lutris so I can play RDR2. Everytime I download it using the "Install a windows game from an executable", it keeps giving me this popup that tells me it's running. I may have installed the Rockstar Launcher on Steam through a ProntonDB tinker tip, but I don't remember where it'd be installed.

Anyone know how I can solve this? Thanks.
