Someone know a good replecemente for Mudfish on Linux?

I want to change the OS from my desktop from Windows to Linux (Fedora distro) but I almost don't find any information about others programs aside Mudfish.

I tried to use mudfish both on Windows and Steam deck but have problems with the interface configuration cause is not friendly as Exitlag/NoPing and is in Russian :v

Just more information, the game I play is Final Fantasy XIV, from South America is essential to me use a program like Noping/Exitlag to do high end content.

Anyone else having a blank launcher when launching Total War: Warhammer 3?

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 20. Oktober 2025 - 15:06

With the latest update I can't get the launcher for TW: Warhammer 3 to work right, it's just showing up as a blank box. I can launch the game after the launcher times out, but I can't enable the mod I want since I can't get to the mods section of the launcher.

I've tried:

  • Deleting the Launcher folder in my AppData

  • Reverifying the game files

  • Reinstalling

  • Trying Proton Experimental, Proton Beta, Proton-Ge 10-20 and 10-15

The issue persists. Adding any launch commands that I've found on ProtonDB just cause the game not to launch at all. I'm kind of at a loss now. Hoping someone else here has any thoughts?

Nvidia performance on DX11

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 20. Oktober 2025 - 14:25

I see plenty of posts and benchmarks highlighting the performance shortcomings in DX12 games vs Windows, but I wonder - how do Nvidia cards perform in DX11? Do we see the same 15% performance gap vs Windows or is it roughly on par?

Help me chose my daily driver after testing cachyos bazzite and nobara

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 20. Oktober 2025 - 13:32

Hi everyone so i have thoroughly tested out the above all of them have pros and all of them also have cons. Help me pick which one I should use as my daily going forward, i should say please no suggestions for regular distros cos I'm looking for a steam deck like set up so I need a gaming mode built in like these have.

Bazzite: seems the most polished experience where stuff mostly just works when it comes to launching games and playing them everything is pretty seemless I didn't have to troubleshoot anything untill it had this weird bug where it would treat my external SSD slower then an old laptop HDD. I mean slow to the point where textures couldn't load in. The internal storage was fine but it really didn't like external storage and out of the 3 distros it also ran my temps at by far the highest with the CPU constantly going above 80 which isn't ideal.

Cachyos: was perfect, absolutely perfect! Untill I updated it once and it broke my decky pluggin and removed a bunch of user settings but up u till I updated everything just worked amazingly well as good as bazzite and even my external storage worked like normal and I'm not kidding my temps ran on average at about 9 degrees cooler with more or less the same performance as bazzite but unfortunately I don't have the time to troubleshoot every time I update and something potentially breaks due to its update nature and also despite what the internet will have you believe in my testing cachyos was the worst performer not by a lot to mKe it meaningful but yeah those cooler temps came at a cost.

Nobara: now this one is frustrating cos I am getting the best performance from this whilst temps are a little higher than cachyos the performance gains are worth it and it doesn't run as hot as bazzite it's kinda of in between tempature wise. This also recognised and used my external storage fine without me even having to reformat it. It also grants you the freedom that bazzite doesn't in desktop mode. Nothing is locked down and you can install or change settings as much as you like however out of the 3 this is the most buggiest which is why it's so frustrating cos if the bugs weren't they're it'd be a no brainer but for some reason it won't pick up rumble or haptic feedback on my dualsence. Wired or wireless. It also has strange bugs when you launch games with a launcher it will freeze on the launcher screen and you can get around around it by holding the home button and that works for making it disappear and also the controller sometimes will bug out even further and start pressing buttons without input but it does get the best performance and it does grant you the freedom so it's very frustrating that these bugs exist.

Which one should I go with?

What's the current status of Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) on Linux?

Reddit Linux_Gaming - 20. Oktober 2025 - 11:46

The game is currently on an all-time biggest discount on Steam and I am thinking of getting it, but could anyone share their experience of running the game on Linux? I am particularly interested in performance - I checked ProtonDB for comments and while they are "positive", people at times added that they get a frame rate around 40 fps. Personally, I would be interested in playing at smooth 60 fps.

Obviously, this relies a lot on hardware and my PC meets the recommended requirements except for the GPU (the recommended specs list "Nvidia GeForce® GTX (sic!) 2080 Ti", while I have GeForce RTX 2060), so I probably need all the performance I can get from my rig and thus I am interested how Linux fares here compared to Windows - is the performance comparable?

Also, if it makes any difference I would be interested in running this game specifically under Debian.

Please share your experience with running the title under Linux, preferably along with listing your hardware and used distro. Thanks in advance.
