I’m planning to move from Windows to Linux mainly for gaming. Which distro do you recommend for the best gaming experience? It should also be relatively easy to configure and set up for games. I was considering CachyOS, but I’m open to other suggestions too.

I installed the MY.GAMES Launcher on Linux using Wine. The installation itself went fine, and the launcher opens normally. But I’m stuck at the login screen:

• i am unable to enter email address
• login with google is not redirecting back

Hello! I'm getting a new PC tomorrow and I'm someone who used windows all her life, about getting a new program for gaming stuff, especially for Hoyoverse games

I was interested in Bazzite (Linux) but I started to read about the possibility about getting banned of the games just bc the anti-cheats politics, and all I could find about the same problems in this or other reddits is from a year or months ago.

So I'm asking if there is really a problem for using Bazzite with Hoyoverse games?

Hi all, I know this has been asked before but I've already tried following some solutions I found in this and other subreddits and still haven't had any luck. I'm specifically trying to get Lenny's Mod Loader installed with a mod that skips the Rockstar Games intro and Rampage Trainer, though I can't seem to get anything working. When installing the scripthook, just dropping the files in doesn't do anything. When I add an override for dinput8, the game hangs on launch, not spawning any windows or throwing any errors, just doing nothing. Has anyone had any success modding the game on Linux?

• Version: 1436.28
• Launcher: Lutris
• Configuration Steps: Installing everything in Redist folder and removing vulkan1 dll override for RDR2.exe via winecfg

System Info:

• OS: EndeavourOS
• Kernel: Linux 6.16.4-arch1-1
• WM: Hyprland (Wayland)
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060

I'm hoping someone here can help me out here. I'm trying to install battletech extended tactics mod on Arch. I've followed the instructions all the files are in the right place etc but when I launch the game it's just not running the mods.

Hey, you probably get this question a lot but is there any way to play these games on linux: Fortnite, The finals and Rocket League. The finals would be The most important one. I like linux and run it on server side a lot but I couldnt really do the switch cause i like to game with my friends. I probably want to try out arch for this. Is there an option to play these games casually without like downloading/playing on a separat vm or server, ans i dont like cloud gaming very much cause of the qeue/graphics/delay. Runs horribly, but it's mine. Couldn't get it to run on Windows due to driver issues with Win10, and the old drivers aren't available anymore, it either ran on Intel or wouldn't run at all.

I did it by setting the AMD GPU as default for all so Sims will run in it, running Steam explicitly on the Intel one, then playing around with Steam Proton to install and run the game (Had no success with Lutris).

It's the Sims 2 Repack V5 so it has fixes.

Really happy with this, as it's also my first time using Linux, and it was a real uphill battle. The moment the game ran was bliss.

I've tried multiple different launchers so the launcher is not the the cause of the problem. I have the texturepack in the right folder. Game version is the newest: 1.21.8. The texture pack is a .zip and has the right file structure (works on windows).

The texture packs dont even show up in minecraft.
