cpupower-gui for Fedora/Nobara
This may not be the right forum for this... After 5+ years and a major update related catastrophe on Manjaro, I switched to Nobara. The cutting edge software and updates was fun for a while, but I wanted something a bit more stable, less headaches, less tinkering and troubleshooting, but still gaming-centric... Anyway, I'm trying to install cpupower-gui, but it's not in the repos or Flatpak. I'm not a CLI ninja by any stretch of the imagination, but I tried building from source... that's not working either... any suggestions? Is there something like the AUR for Fedora? Or, is the a cpupower-gui alternative that works natively on Fedora/Nobara?

Another portion of ntsync work was merged in Wine!
This portion was just merged. Hopefully the rest of the remaining ntsync parts will get traction soon as well.

Alt Tab Nightmare
CachyOS (Arch)
Wayland
KDE 6.4 Plasma
So I am having a serious issue with gaming on linux. When running Windows games via Proton / Steam...
If I Alt Tab out of and then back into a fullscreen game (or switch desktop via keyboard shortcut), the game stops updating new frames after a second or two, until I AltTab again, and then it shows new frames for a second or two and then stops displaying new frames again.
Sometimes games trigger this behavior upon entering a load screen. Sometimes I am able to repeatedly AltTab and trick the game by bugging the panel to appear on top, which seems to work (except that now the panel is over part of the game)
Apparently this is a well known issue with KDE Plasma, but none of the solutions I've found online seem to work. Windowed Bordeless Fullscreen seems to have the same issue as True Fullscreen. I've tried adding rules to the window manager to disable compositing, but the issue persists.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Can anyone out there help me solve this?

Any planting and disarming games?
I wanted to play a game like Counter-Strike or Valorant, but the only one that runs on my PC is Counter-Strike 1.6 with ease. The game is old, there are some things I didn't like, and I wanted a more modern game, but, as I said, this is the only one I know that runs it.
Any recommendations?I use the Nobara project
My PC config:
Processors:8x Intel® Core™ i5-10210U CPU @ 1.60GHz
Memory: 8 GiB RAM (7.6 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: Intel® UHD GraphicsIntegrated
System Version: V1.22

My vega 64 keeps crashing while i'm playing some games
I'm using a used vega 64 for my pc since i can't afford a new gpu and i can't seem to solve the issue of it crashing constantly. I had the firmware reinstalled and i've tweaked the voltage and set the fan speed the highest it can go. The games i know of that it crashes on are warhammer 40,000: darktide, garrys mod, sometimes roblox depending on the game, and helldivers other games probably crash it but it's prob not exclusive for just some games. The only thing i haven't tried is messing with drivers because idk exactly what to do there since idk much about linux drivers. If you can help i'd appreciate it :)

Error with Lutris Winetricks
Hello there, I've recently gotten into gaming on linux, and for the most part things have been going smoothly. I recently wanted to get back into BG3 and wanted to use their mod loader for sorting out the load order of my mods and to install mods not on the game itself. I'm finding difficulty in getting it set up in lutris though. I found some tutorials and whenever I get to the part of installing dotnet 4.7.2 I get this error
Eventually it closes on its own and it pops up again until I close lutris. I did install wine as well, so any idea on what I did wrong or what is going on, because I did do the bit that gives me the 32 bit added to the system at the start of wine, so I'm just confused what I did wrong.

CS2 freezing on Wigman Overpass
Is anyone else having this issue?
CS2 only gives me issues on this map. At this exact spot.
It usually happens when I throw a molly towards toxic with a:
run + jump + left + right click throw.
My viewmodel is already pretty centered. But you can also see that it does not match up with my crosshair when this freeze occurs.
And its only happened since the last update. In this position of the map.

I've tried playing Disco Elysium on both windows and linux. Is there a reason the graphics seem to look better on windows?
I've decided to give gaming on linux a try after hearing that it has come a long way. I've tried playing DE on ubuntu and mint. Both worked fine, though my cursor is too small. The graphics just don't look as good as on windows. Is it a driver problem? Thanks.

FUCK THEM HACKERS
So just today I installed linux to play roblox using wine (my cpu is unc stage now and cant run sober) and I just heard that WINE ISN'T SUPPORTED??? just like a year ago I saw someone playing roblox using wine and I wanted to try that but I didn't have any reason to get linux since I already had windows 10, but my windows 10 got "accidentally" formatted while trying to install linux but I finally got it to work, and TELL ME WHY THE FIRST THING I SEE IS "Wine is unsupported due to hackers abusing it" LIKE BRUH

Helldivers 2 Linux Full Screen/White Border Issues SOLUTION
Free roguelike with native Linux support! summon sandstorms and survive the desert
Hey all, I’ve been developing a free roguelike called Sands, inspired by Dune, and I’m building it on Arch Linux. Linux has been my main dev environment from day one, and it’s important to me that the game runs natively.
The clip shows the Desert Scout in action, summoning a Coriolis Storm and firing Spice Shot, which now creates poison clouds. The idea is to make the desert itself feel like a weapon you can wield.
Sands is free, fan-made, and has builds for Linux, Mac, and Windows:

Best Linux distro for gaming in 2025?
I’m planning to move from Windows to Linux mainly for gaming. Which distro do you recommend for the best gaming experience? It should also be relatively easy to configure and set up for games. I was considering CachyOS, but I’m open to other suggestions too.
