Borderlands 2 free to keep if you act fast (Steam Deck Playable)
Yes their new EULA is a concern so read up on that before diving in. It's the Same EULA for all T2 games now, including ROR2 and GTA6.
Anyways, free game that's free to keep forever if you add it to your library in the next 3 days.

New to Linux Gaming – Looking for Distro Recommendations + Game Performance Resources
Hey everyone,
I'm new to Linux gaming and planning to set up a dual boot with Windows. Based on my research so far, the distros that seem the most interesting for gaming are Nobara, Bazzite, and CachyOS.
Do you have any favorites or recommendations between these?
Also, is there any spreadsheet or website that lists games which perform better on Linux than on Windows?
My system specs, in case it helps:
GPU: RX 7600
CPU: Ryzen 5 5500

Tumbleweed for gaming
Thinking of switching to openSUSE Tumbleweed and want to know how it stacks up for gaming. Do games perform anywhere close Bazzite? Any pitfalls or optimization i need to consider? I currently have a 5070Ti in my main PC, but might try it first on my 2nd PC with a 6800XT.
Appreciate any real-world feedback or advice! Thanks!

Sapphire Nitro + AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Review and Benchmarks on Windows and Linux!
Help me decide on a GPU
Greetings! I want a GPU for my home pc, and I am struggling to decide. Rx 9060 xt 16Gb or RTX 5060 ti 16 Gb, so happens that both of them are ~450Eur here... Well At least some models. I am using Linux 100% of the time on this machine, and I do play casual games like Warframe or ETS 2, etc.
People say AMD is better but upscaling tech is better on Nvidia side. I know people hate AI stuff, but it is not going away, so might choose the best option? No? Also Nvidia reflex is available on linux while AMD anti-lag is not as far as I know. Also, Cuda cores to run basic models locally? What are your opinions? What would you go with, if the price was within 10 Eur difference?

How long before the Linux Kernel adds Support for the New Nintendo Switch 2 Controllers?
This is embarrassing: a solid 10+fps gain on CachyOS compared to a FRESH install of Windows.
To be fair though this was the first benchmark run on Windows, whereas CachyOS I’ve done a benchmark before. But still.
Idk why the performance gap is so huge. Is this the fault of Windows? Or AMD?

New Steam Games with Native Linux Clients, including Cyber Knights: FlashPoint and Kabuto Park - 2025-06-04 Edition
Company Of Heroes 3
Just moved from Windows to Fedora 42, have steam installed. But I just can't get Company of Heroes 3 to launch, I have tried the latest Proton 10.01 I think but you click play and it says running then nothing happens and after a few seconds it says play again.
Anyone managed to get it running?
ProtonDB says runs perfectly after tweaks but I can't see what those tweaks actually are

Rebind side buttons in Chinese mouse
I own a Attack Shark R1. Not a great mouse, but I love it. There is an app for rebinding side buttons in Windows, but I can't make it run in Linux, or it won't be able to change binds.
I've tried input-remapper, but it can't rebind my buttons. What software do you recommend? Thanks.

What is the best way to run games in 2025?
I have bought a laptop with Vulkan support and I installed Debian Trixie with LXQt on it. Now I have to install the stuff to play games.
On my old computer, which I had since 2012, I used to run wine using the command line. I had no helping tools and I didn't use sandboxing. It is the version of the distro repo. I had to make a symbolic link of ~/.wine to a proper partition.
Now after many years there are new resources, such as Bottles, firejail and Proton, but I'm not familiar with them. Many things have changed on the Linux world since 2018. I have to relearn everything because my experience is too dated.
What do you use nowadays? Do you still install wine manually?

Super noob question about Proton
I am getting into PC gaming and decided on using linux, because windows kinda sucks these days, and proton seems to work 80 percent of the time (source: ProtonDB). I want to know if proton has any setup (again, noob question), or if any settings need to be tweaked for it to work well.
Edit: I plan on using Pop!_OS. Just fyi.
