Steam game that was working 2 days ago decides not to
I tried everything: changing proton version, changing disk, verifying integrity, clearing download cache, but it just doesn't wanna work. It was working perfectly not even 2 days ago and now it just decides to die on me

Proton Experimental updated with fixes for Marvel Rivals on Steam Deck / Linux and other game improvements
Have been trying to run injustice 2 in ubuntu but all it does is bring me this
it sometimes brings the pop up with wonder woman, batman and superman all together but it closes right after. Tried using proton but that didnt seem to work or might just not be using it right

Windows to-go
Hello all. Sorry if this has been answered 1000 times but its the best way I know how to research without breaking things. I am running bazzite HTPC, which I am very happy with. Unfortunately I can not play everything I would like to and am searching for the safest way install and play some windows only titles. So far the best option seems to be creating a windows togo external nvme with rufus and using my USB-C 3.2 2x2 port. Looking for opinions on this as well as any further sugesstions, warnings, tutorials, etc. I also have only seen videos of people doing this with a system already running windows. Will I have any problems doing it from my kde desktop? Or should i use a different computer to create the drive. Again, i am sorry for not knowing much and happy for any information. I still have a lot to learn about linux.

New Steam Games with Native Linux Clients - 2024-12-25 Edition
Trying to install Red Dead Redemption on Lutris but it keeps crashing when i launch it and it gives me this message, any help please?
i wanna be transparent and say i am using a pirated copy of the game because i already own it on my ps5 and i don't really want to pay 60 bucks for it again tbh, not sure if that has something to do with it. (im on EndeavourOS KDE btw)

Dual monitor setup: one connected to motherboard and the other to NVIDIA GPU, it that OK?
So my CPU is Ryzen 5 5600G with an iGPU, and my GPU is an NVIDIA GTX 1080.
The NVIDIA GPU has only one HDMI, and the other three ports are DP, and my motherboard has one HDMI as well as a DVI.
I have a 1440P monitor and a very old LG one of 1080P, and I don't have any DP cable so I need to connect one of them to the motherboard.
So I plan to setup like this: 1440P monitor <--HDMI--> NVIDIA GTX 1080 1080P monitor <--HDMI--> Motherboard
And I only game on the 1440P monitor.
Are there going to be some kind of performance penalty to be expected? I mean Pascal GPUs are already having performance issues in Linux. I am asking about issues related to my monitor setup.
I am running X11, Ubuntu 22.04. I am not going to use Wayland anytime soon because I need to use Davinci Resolve and I have read somewhere it is not going to work well in Wayland, yet.
Thank you for reading to this part. I know it may be a stupid question but I really want to know the answer.

Deep Rock Galactic refresh rate issue
I'm having a continuous issue with Deep Rock Galactic that I'm not quite sure how to explain. After about a half-an-hour to an hour of playtime at a stable 120 FPS, the framerate will suddenly cut in half during any mouse movement. One possible diagnosis I that found was that Proton didn't like the high polling rate of my mouse, so I set my Logitech G502 Hero mouse down to 125hz, the lowest allowed by Piper, and the issue persists. It happens on Proton 9.0-4, GE-Proton 9-21, and Experimental.
Computer specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: XFX Merc 310 Radeon 7900 XT
OS: Fedora Workstation 41 KDE. Also tested on Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon with the same specifications.

Want to build a PC after so long using intel ultrabooks and a NVIDIA optimus gaming laptop
I've had a intel i7 5th gen cpu uktrabook before, and now a eog strix g15 2021 with 3060 6gb and an amd r7 4800h.
I want to build an All AMD PC in micro atx form factor with a portable monitor. I already had to carry a full gaming laptop with mouse keyboard gamepad and everything. I'm willing to take a bit more load(shoulder strong).
My preferred distro is : Endeavour OS/ Fedora both with KDE plasma.
I've added the following: Mobo: Gigabyte A520m DS3Sh AC CPU: AMD R7 5700x GPU: Powercolor fighter 7600 8GB gddr6 Ram : 2x 16 gb gskill aegis ddr4 3200mhz Powersupply: Acer AC 750 80+ bronze Casing: Mini tower micro atx casing.
I move within city a bit, and across city(6 hours bus travel) once every 2/3/4 months. How feasible is my concept? Or should I just stick with my ROG Strix laptop with NVIDIA optimus?
Thank you in advance for all the help. Do tell if any more info is needed. If there's any mistake in the post, do tell. If this sub isn't the proper one, do direct me to the proper one. Thank you again.
