Hello everyone. I’m wanting to try Linux and I’m looking for recommendations. It’s just for gaming, and I’ll list my specs below

Ryzen 7 3700x CPU

3070 GPU

Just tryna do something different. This is my secondary PC so it won’t be a daily driver but I do wanna get to know Linux a bit.

I’m leaning towards Mint, but wondering what other gamers prefer? Thanks!

Do you guys tweak anything on your system or just use it as it comes? Im planning to ditch mint and install debian and i was wondering what stuff can be done to improve gaming performance or performance in general.

Basically a title. i want to swap my RX 570 to RX 6600XT and since i have some tuning profiles in CoreCtrl, should i uninstall CoreCtrl or disable AMD Overclocking for avoiding any conflict?

guys i am new to cachy just installed to play some roblox installed sober and i have been experiencing lag where sometimes the fps drops to 2-3 and comes back up this happens frequently in game can someone help me !

Title. MW2019 went on a steep sale recently and I've been interested in playing it again. I've seen from a few posts like 5-4 years ago saying it didn't work under proton, but has any headway been made in that since then? Or is it another one of those problems where kernel anticheat makes it impossible to do so?

Hello all, I was wondering whether linux nvidia drivers have implemented offloading vram to ram if it gets full. Last time I heard, they still haven't worked on it bc fuck nvidia

Or is there another method to offloading vram some place else because whenever my vram gets maxed out, the entire game crashes

The game is Pro Evolution Soccer 5.

I have the files and I've tried installing via Lutris but the game does not boot. I tried to install d3d9x and this didn't help either.

Am I missing something? I've had my Deck for 4 years and I've only ever managed to get one game working via Lutris.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I took the 8 pin pcie from the gpu and plugged it into the bc 250 as seen in other videos online but i get no signal on the monitor.

itried to spam the delete key to access the bios, i tried just normal starting.

i tried with two cables one dp to dp and one dp to hdmi on two monitors but same results.

sorry for writing here wasn't knowing where else to ask for advice.

what am i doing wrong or is the card simply broken?
