ScummVM 2.0 released

After a testing phase of nearly a month the final version 2.0 of ScummVM has been released.

With ScummVM it is possible to run classic Point-and-Click-Adventures (LucasArts, Sierra etc.) on many modern systems.

Besides improvements in the video- and audio-systems and in the support for Joysticks, the Version 2.0 also gained support for 23 new titles:

Sword Coast Legends: from January on no longer on Steam, final sale has begun

The developers of Sword Coast Legends announced on Steam, that their publishing contract is coming to an end at the end of December.

Therefore the Action-RPG will be no longer available on Steam from the beginning of January, and a final sale for the game (€ 4,94) has started.

AppGameKit Version 2017.12.12 for Linux released

The new Version 2017.12.12 of AppGameKit (aka AGK2) adds again a ton of new features and improvements.

Worth noting this time is the extension of the physics-simulation Box2D and access to Text-to-Speech-functions for mobile devices in the engine.

Also a free set with xmas-styled-graphics has been released.

For Man O' War: Corsair - Warhammer Naval Battles the huge Update 1.3.1 has been released for Linux on Steam.

It adds the Brettonian and Empire campaign to the game as well as a lot of other new features and improvements.

SOMA: Update with "Safe Mode" released, Monsters won't kill anymore

For the outstanding Horror-game SOMA an Update including the "Safe Mode" has been released.

If you start a new game in "Safe Mode", Monsters won't actively hunt you and can't kill you anymore.

Sadly on existing save files, you can't turn on the "Safe Mode".

But: SOMA is in my opinion one of the best games available on Linux, and you have to play it - with or without "Safe Mode"!
