I got this error while using sober and im already logged in, roblox in banned in my country but im using proton and even windscribe(it worked on windscribe prior to this)

Yesterday I have been using Faugus launching Epic games without a problem. This morning I started the computer (Bazzite OS) and after starting Faugus it is wants to start, the icon is showing up on the task bar and icon is jumping next to the mouse. However after 5 sec everything just disapears like I never wanted to start the flatpack.
I already checked the for updates and reinstalled Faugus which did not fix the issue.
Did anyone experience the same?

I tried to download wine (also I tried cachyos optimised version and staging) via package manager and via lutris, logs just say that some driver cant draw a window (i installed all depens for my card). Also I tried to launch GD (but it cant run any game\soft) on steam via proton hotfix, experimental and 9, but no one work, in a logs wine trying to write something in kernel. But in a arch Linux its worked fine

i use cachyos, and ye i tried a "wiki for gaming" but it's dont do anything. also i tried using X11 (qtile) and Wayland (Hyprland, Mangowc)

I've been playing Genshin on linux with minimal issue for the last 7 or so months. Unfortunately, it's suddenly completely stopped launching on my computer after 6.4 released. I was originally using the Heroic launcher, and tried a couple different versions of proton with no success. I read somewhere that I should try to use the Anime Game Launcher to get it working, however it has the same problem.

Is this related to my specific computer, or is this a known problem? It also happened when 6.3 released, however it had fixed itself by this point.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Comparing same game (wow) with same settings, I get weird power consumption in linux, approx 20W more than in windows. Could someone give me ideas what I can change?

I had too high power draw in idle mode (without games), it was cured by disabling adaptive sync in KDE. Still in games the problem persists.

So I downloaded Marvel Cosmic via streamrip and I couldn’t for the life of me make it run on my steamdeck due to it having a game.exe and a launcher.exe. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Hey guys, I'm having a weird issue with my 2nd Gen Xbox One controller on Fedora 43. I'm trying to play Dead Cells via Bluetooth, but the mapping was all over the place at first. To fix it, I installed the xpadneo driver, and while Steam now sees it as an Xbox 360 controller, the game itself doesn't respond to any buttons.

The weirdest part is that evtest shows the system is getting the inputs perfectly, so the driver is doing its job. It feels like Steam or the game is just choking on the "virtual" controller xpadneo creates. Has anyone dealt with tthis situation?

I am using COSMIC DE with PopOS on my NVIDIA rig, awesome experience with productivity, the auto-tiling is so fast and easy to use, the system is fast, clean and responsive BUT it still has issue with launching games in full screen (especially from Heroic launcher) and a handful of other higher end gaming stuff.

What would be another OS that would work well for nvidia gaming that has auto-tiling and will game great? DLSS, high refresh rate ultra-wide, multiple monitor, and HDR support needed. Im not sure what DE has auto-tiling besides COSMIC.

Hey reddit, my name is Gage, and I need some help.

I've recently modded my switch to run custom firmware with the goal of putting steam on it. I couldn't get steam to work for the life of me, so I thought about cutting out the middle man. I'm trying to directly upload my copy of the elder scrolls 4: oblivion (Game of the year edition) onto the managment gui lutris. I'm running the latest update of ubuntu noble, I also have wine and dxvk auto installed with lutris.

I've tried it already, only for the game to instantly crash. Idk if anything like this is even possible, but I'd like to at least try and make it work. It doesn't have to run super well. Is there anything I could do to make this thing run on my switch? I'm also a little new to reddit, so idk if this is the right subreddit for this conversation. If anyone could give my some pointers, or at least point me to a potentially more appropriate subreddit, that would be great, thank you guys.

I'm sure many of you remember Globulation 2. It is an old, open-source game that was very popular. My goal is to revive that game with Globulation 3. At least for now, it will be Linux-only and single player. I am basing it off of Globulation 2's original code. I am looking for devs, designers, or just supporters to help the project. Thanks!

I mean I haven't tested the game yet and honestly I dont think this would be any problem, but its funny tho.

Last time I played this game I didn't had this problem (using KDE), the only thing I did was switch to Gnome.

I need help in finding if any versions of proton are compatible with the PC port of NBA 2K12. The game experiences constant stutter every 1-2 seconds in the startup intro, main menus and the game itself.

The latest version (GE 10 or whatever it is) and Experimental both don't work.

I only have Steam, two Minecraft launchers, a couple Wine apps and Sober from Flatpak. I have no idea on what could it be, ext4 reserved space is already set to 0%.
My brain is frying right now, 'cause I never had this type of issue. Any ideas on what could it be?

So i installed Nobara OS today and i am a noob coming from windows and when i tried to play eu4 with my friend i have 10-14fps and glitched bad visuals, i tried alot of things like using lutris to force my dedicated gpu or using launch options but nothing works, i ve heard from others eu4 on linux is fine but for me is very bad, also my pc specs are 16gb ram, rtx 2050 and i5-12450hx please help.

The lighting constantly flickers between dim and bright, almost like exposure is rapidly adjusting or pumping. It’s especially noticeable outdoors during nightime happens in daytime too the sky flickers but not that noticeable.
