Hi guys, I'm new to Linux Gaming and i was wondering about how to properly use Gamescope. How do i optimize Cyberpunk for example or some other games that run poorly on Linux.

I may just be drunk but every multiplayer game on Steam has a none existent ping from servers on the opposite side of the world. So far Linux multiplayer games suck ass yo. At this point I wanna go back to shitty windows just so I can use the games I paid for. No amount of trouble shooting fixes the ping. Fucking Linux

Hi, this FPS been a problem for me for awhile, and while the music and SFX are fine, this lag only seems to happen on Nvidia. Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!

I installed the Community Enhancement Pack mod for Persona 4 Golden using the Steam Deck instructions even though I'm on Bazzite (only a few paths had to be adjusted). I got it working.

It worked for a day or two, then suddenly I was getting an error message when trying to launch it. I then basically re-installed the entire thing and got it working again.

A few days later (today), same thing occurred with a different error. I once again re-installed it but this time I still couldn't get it working. When launching from Steam I get an error that says "Unable to initialize SteamAPI. Please make sure Steam is running and you are logged into an account entitled to the game". I have no idea why is coming up when I'm literally logged into Steam, launching it from Steam. And I legally own this game.

While troubleshooting, it actually launched normally once...then right after refused to start again. I have no idea why this only works randomly.

Is there any? Can we, with power of friendship, upvote this into the sky hoping someone will do one? What I'm interested in:
1. what works out of the box on Linux? (without Steam running) Is it compatible with sc-controller or similar?
2. does firmware upgrade work from Linux? (most probably yes)
3. how is puck recognized and what driver it uses? (for wireless)
4. how does it compare with other controllers in Proton games?
5+. write down your ideas

I know that at least on Windows and MacOS, you'll have to interface with Steam to get any real usage out of the controller, but I was curious if anyone knows anything about support on Linux.

I had found this so i'd assume that means we'd see support for using the steam controller without steam open but I'm not 100% sure so I wanted to ask publically for the sake of more information as a quick search was unable to yield too much due to a lot of links being about the first Steam Controller lol

I might be going crazy, but Im paying attention to the temps on my 9070xt Nitro+, and they seem a bit high on LACT's reporting compared to what i remember seeing on W11 Adrenaline software. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a discrepency in reporting or is Linux running my GPU hotter? I on Cachy OS not that it really matters. Latest Mesa 26.05.

Hi, I'd like to know if anyone can currently play Black Ops 2. I've wanted to play it for a while, but I was too lazy to install it on Linux xD.

And if that's the case, please tell me, even if very quickly, how you did it.

Every button except the start button (below SEA) works. It makes a sound when i try and click anywhere but the start button just doesnt work at all for me. I downloaded the game through bottles and am now launching through the exe on steam.

I'll keep this short, I have been having problems launching games (other that Cyberpunk 2077 with Lutris for some reason????) on my MSI Cyborg 15 A13VE running any OS other than Kubuntu, and I just remembered that when I first installed Kubuntu, it had a program to install drivers, but I haven't been able to find the drivers separately on any of my other distro, pretty much I need Nvidia drivers, preferably as many different versions as I can get to test, I have a new game I want to play that releases tomorrow and another that is getting a big update in 2 days

Eu sei que nem todo mundo gosta da Ubisoft, e não tiro a razão de vocês, mas infelizmente tem alguns jogos que eu ainda gosto bastante. De tempos em tempos, gosto de jogar, por exemplo, os Assassin's Creed antigos — como o 2 e suas DLCs / jogos derivados, como o Brotherhood, e também o 3 e o 4 — e até outros jogos, como Far Cry 3 e o 4, que eu acho fantásticos.

Eu consigo jogar eles instalando a Ubisoft Connect usando o programa Heroic Games Launcher. Basicamente, instalo ele usando o programa e uso ele pra abrir. O Assassin's Creed Valhalla tá funcionando perfeitamente no meu PC, e outros jogos funcionam bem também.

Como eu instalo ele:

1. Heroic Games Store > "Add game" ou "Adicionar um jogo"
2. Escolher "Executar instalador antes"
3. Ir até onde você baixou o instalador da Ubisoft Connect
4. Instalar igual você instalaria no Windows (dica: instala o programa em um diretório diferente e que seja fácil para você achar)
5. Selecionar executável > ir até o executável onde você instalou o programa e selecionar o UbisoftConnect.exe
6. Escolher a versão do Wine (o Proton costuma ser melhor com o Ubisoft Connect) e depois terminar

É só abrir agora o programa (ele vai abrir igual abriria no Windows). O programa demora pra abrir de primeira. Depois é só colocar a sua conta e instalar o seu jogo.

(Eu só não descobri como adicionar um atalho na área de trabalho.)

I've been trying for quite some time to run anvil toolkit, a tool made to mod a lot of forge engine games, having already done the requirements such as installing windowsdesktop runtime 5.0.13 and setting all of the executable's permissions to "read and write", every time I try running the .exe through wine or protontricks I get the same message saying that I need to run the app as an admnistrator. Tried looking online for quite some time and couldn't find anything that actually helped

Hi! I’m planning to become a V-tuber in the future, but I couldn’t find many tools that work well on CachyOS… so I decided to make my own.

It’s going to be an .AppImage with a JS GUI using Electron (HTML, CSS, JS and all that).

It’s been a bit tricky to code, not gonna lie, but I’m figuring it out. Also, I don’t have a webcam, so I’m making the avatar’s head follow the mouse instead.

That’s pretty much it for now~ wish me luck 💜

I want to know if its possible to play that gacha with that distro.
