Remove controller from AntiMicroX
Good afternoon Reddit,
I was hoping to find a way to prevent/remove AntiMicroX from detecting my logitech wheel as it removes force feedback in some games, but I couldnt find anything, any help will be appreciated.
Cheers, MrCheese

Valve
Can we all agree, that valve is the reason why linux is useable in gaming? Without proton, 90% of games in steam would be unplayable. Or imagine if steam wasn't in linux at all? (almost) No one would switch to linux if that would be the case.
Don't get me wrong. I don't think valve is the best company or anything. It has faults, but we cant deny their pushes to make linux mainstream.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Linux Proton
Double posting from the Eiyuden sub but I guess id try my luck here.
In anticipation of hundred heroes launching soon. I wanted to ask the community if anyone has been playing under linux/proton and has found a way to import the save game from Rising into Hundred Heroes? (Or any other game that supports save importing from a different game.)
Im not sure if simply moving the saved game from the Rising prefix into the Hundred Heroes prefix is enough.
Does anyone have any information or experience with this?
Thank you!

I just played Palworld for the very first time and...
It runs amazing on my linux mint! Besides the game being so fun and one of the best survival games I've played, I was pleasantly surprised of how well it runs in my computer (which GPU and CPU are about 5-6 years old), I'm playing with Proton GE 9.4 and the game runs super fluid, I was able to run High settings with 90fps, no graphic bugs, no framerate drops, no crashes, it was extremely smooth! This is probably the most recently released game I've played on my linux mint and I just wanted to share the experience about it! 😁

Wayland and unvalidated VRR monitor
I saw an old thread about this and it wasn't figured out there either although someone said ops card (1080) wasn't supported but I have a 4070 super and a Dell G27Q. VRR works in Windows and I can force it to be on in X11 by adding the override to xorg.conf (although with dual monitors it doesn't work anyway unless I turn off one of them which I haven't tested tbh but it says enabled in nvidia settings after the override) but I have no idea how to do that in Wayland. Do I have to edit the edid file? I also have two monitors, the other monitor is a 24" that has vrr support validated but its 1080p and I use it as a second monitor, definitely don't wanna use it as my main.

Nintendo Switch Online N64 Controller Support?
Hello,
I've been trying to get my Switch Online N64 controller working on Fedora 39, kernel 6.8.6.
I saw that apparently an update to the hid-nintendo driver was included in the kernel starting with 6.8 that should enable support for this? However, when I connect my controller, the only thing I can do is control the mouse with the analog stick, and the mouse buttons with the C-buttons. I swear I had this working on a previous install like 6 months ago, but I'm a little stumped now... any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have jstest-gtk installed, and it doesn't even list the N64 controller at all. Steam doesn't recognize it, either. I'm not sure what logs would be relevant for this scenario, but I will provide any particular logs if requested.

ps4 knock off controller issue
I have a TIANHOO controller that is basically a ps4 dual sense knock off. It's a great controller and only $17.
I can get it paired up in blue-man in arch linux, but steam won't recognize it.
If anyone has any tips on driver packages to install etc, please let me know, thanks

How to install from GOG offline installer
A while ago I got the complete Fallout series on GOG even though playing Fallout 4 through steam via proton as I previously bought it there but since there is an (potentially) mod breaking update ahead I wanted to grab the offline installer from GOG and save it for all eternity :)
But now I don't know how to install them under Linux since I only use Steam with Proton or Heroic for GOG games with whatever compatibility layer is the default. But after a quick search Heroic seems not to be able to install games from these GOG offline installers and I'd rather not mess with default wine as a more "casual" Linux user so I want to ask what options there are.

XDefiant on Linux
Currently there is another play test going on for XDefiant. I tried playing it with both Bottles and Steam but both couldn’t work with the anticheat unfortunately.
This post is simply to inform others who may be curious or to start the conversation on getting this game working
