Der Entwickler kaufte sogar extra ein Laptop mit AMD-Grafikkarte, um einen Bug nachzuvollziehen, der das Abspielen von In-Game-Videos betraf.

Zu Tropico 6 wurde das Update Nueve "Guagua" sowie ein weiterer (Bezahl-)DLC namens "Spitter" auf Steam für Linux veröffentlicht.
