Der Heroic Games Launcher ist eine freie Alternative zu Epic Games Store und GOG Galaxy, mit der sich Spiele dieser Plattformen unter Linux verwalten und starten lassen. Das Hotfix behebt vor allem Probleme mit Rockstar- und Ubisoft-Spielen, die nach dem vorherigen Release aufgetreten waren.

This hotfix addresses issues identified following the previous release, particularly targeting problems with Rockstar and Ubisoft games, along with several other improvements.

Key changes include: fixed heroic executable path searching functionality, removed legacy Snap support remnants, implemented UMU for Steam Runtime delivery with automatic enablement for native GOG titles, corrected LEGENDARY_CONFIG_PATH configuration, added default CrossOver path support on macOS, updated Legendary to version 0.21.1, enhanced log file handling to read only the last 1MB, prevented games from being moved into themselves, fixed sideload installer Wine prefix conflicts, improved Steam shortcut management via SteamClient API, and corrected the GOG Galaxy registry key to prevent Steam wrapper crashes.

The release included contributions from 12 team members, with 5 new contributors joining the project.
