Pulsar Mouse Linux: version 0.1.33 released

Pulsar Mouse Linux, an unofficial configuration tool for Pulsar gaming mice on Linux, has been released in version v0.1.33.

The update adds an optional low battery warning and a “Start in Tray” option on login. It follows version 0.1.32, which added detection of wireless link drops and the tools/nordic-snapshot.py script.

Changes in version 0.1.33:

  • Battery warning: Wireless mice can warn once per discharge via desktop notification. It is off by default. The threshold is set on the Tools page from 5% to 50% in 5% steps. It warns again only after the mouse has charged back above the threshold. It reuses the battery reading the tray already takes once a minute, so there is no extra USB traffic.
  • Start in Tray: The new option under “Start on Login” on the Tools page opens only the tray icon at login. Launching from the start menu still opens the window. Without a tray host, the app checks four times over about two seconds, then opens the window.
  • Fixes: A GUI started without a session bus no longer leaves the mouse unread. The tray no longer shows a polling rate that failed to be written.
  • Other: tools/nordic-snapshot.py now labels checksums and reads the shortcut table, so diffs point at the right bytes. The README no longer suggests usbhid.mousepoll for polling rate, since it is in milliseconds and overrides the device. The battery JSON at ~/.cache/pulsar-mouse/battery.json is documented as a contract for panel widgets.
