Pulsar Mouse Linux: version 0.1.31 released

Pulsar Mouse Linux, an unofficial configuration tool for Pulsar gaming mice on Linux, has been released in version v0.1.31.

The update adds support for the Pulsar X3 LHD and the 8K wireless dongle, plus access to all four onboard profiles of wireless mice with the Nordic chip. Before that came version 0.1.30 with the adjustable sleep timer.

Changes in version 0.1.31:

  • New hardware: The Pulsar X3 LHD and the 8K wireless dongle (3710:5403) are supported. The 8K dongle uses the 1K dongle’s driver and offers 2000, 4000 and 8000 Hz polling rates.
  • Dongle quirk: The dongle answers one request under the previous request’s header. That one request is now handled as an exception so the read does not time out.
  • Model names: A mouse behind either dongle is now shown with its correct model name.
  • Profiles: Nordic-chip wireless mice have four onboard profiles, but only one was usable so far. All four are now accessible.
  • Debounce and sleep timer: Both values are written to the requested profile instead of the currently loaded one.
  • Error reporting: If the mouse refuses a profile switch, the app now reports an error instead of failing silently.
  • Sleep timer: The step size stays at 10 seconds, so values such as 50 seconds can still be set.

The new hardware was provided and confirmed by @jonkristian, the profile count was measured by @bluesceada.
