Pulsar Mouse Linux, an unofficial configuration tool for Pulsar gaming mice on Linux, has been released in version v0.1.32.
The update detects when a wireless mouse’s link drops and returns, and adds a new helper script for locating settings in device memory. It follows version 0.1.31, which added support for the Pulsar X3 LHD and access to all four onboard profiles.
Changes in version 0.1.32:
- Link drops: Fusion2 dongles send a distinct byte sequence when the mouse disconnects and another when it reconnects. Nothing read these before. A drop is not treated as an error, since the mouse may simply be asleep (e.g. after the 30-second sleep timer).
- Reconnect: The reconnect signal arrives about 0.1 seconds after the first movement. The app retries pending requests to the mouse at that point.
- Battery poll: Reading through the dongle does not reset the sleep timer, so the periodic battery poll does not keep the mouse awake.
- New tool: The script
tools/nordic-snapshot.pydumps the mouse’s settings memory before and after a change made in the vendor software and shows which bytes differ. Known addresses are labeled from the driver constants, unknown ones are flagged as unidentified.
