SelfSteam: web tool for managing Steam shortcuts released in version 0.1.31

SelfSteam has been released in version v0.1.31.

SelfSteam is a headless web application for adding and editing non-Steam shortcuts from another device while the target machine stays in Game Mode: streaming services and websites as Steam shortcuts, game launchers, emulators from Flathub, and retro ROMs with automatic artwork lookup via SteamGridDB. The tool ships as a Flatpak for the Steam Deck and Steam Machines.

After version 0.1.30, v0.1.31 is now out. SelfSteam now has its own logo, app icon and Steam artwork, fresh installs automatically get a SelfSteam shortcut in the Steam library, and the home page has been redesigned.

A SelfSteam shortcut is automatically added to the Steam library on fresh installs.

New pairing code screen accessible via the SelfSteam shortcut, closable with controller/keyboard input.

Redesigned Steam restart notification displaying “Restarting Steam…”.

Reorganized home page with “Add new shortcut” card and shortcuts grouped by category.

Fonts are now bundled, removing the external Google font dependency.

Migrated from the GNOME runtime to the smaller Freedesktop runtime.

Fixed background service restart behavior preventing duplicate processes.
