Hello, Linux community! I recently started using Linux (I love Linux), but there is some problem with Garry's Mod on my PC. I'm running the game with GE-Proton (flatpak), but I've noticed that regardless of my graphics settings, the game never works properly vertical synchronization. I was checking the Vsync settings, I tried different protons, and so on, nothing helped me. First, I wanted to know if someone had a similar problem, and secondly, how to solve it? I would be very grateful because this is my favorite game of all!

System:

• Zorin OS 18 (ubuntu 24.04 based)
• Kernel 6.14.0-37-generic
• X11 windowing system.
• Ryzen 7 7800X3D cpu
• 32 gb ram
• Nvidia 4070 Super gpu

I'm trying to play Diablo 2 Resurrected. Battlenet is installed through Lutris and run with GE-proton 10-27. D2R installs just fine, and launches and runs mostly without any hitch. However, if the window/application loses focus, such as through alt-tabbing to a different window or dragging the cursor over to my second monitor and clicking another window, the game will then freeze.

I have tried running the game in fullscreen and windowed mode with the same results.

I have also tried both Proton experiemental and Proton hotfix with the same result

I have tried with vsync on and off.

tl;dr

Diablo 2 Resurrected crashes when the game window loses focus.

when i boot up the game on native it just displays the valve logo and then crashes after some time, when I try on Proton (experimental version) it does work, but not multi-player. any help will be useful, thank you (also, im using a lenovo ideapad slim 3, with a ryzen 5 5625u and integrated graphics. idk if it helps but better safe than sorry)

Hey, it's as the title says. I've checked, and I toggled the framerate limit to unlimited. I'm using CachyOS, drivers are Mesa 25.3.2-arch1.2, on KDE Plasma 6.5.4 with Wayland, CPU is an i5-12400f and a 9060XT 16GB, 16GB DDR4 2600MHz (I know.), and using Proton-CachyOS 10.0-20251126. The game is Arc Raiders.

There obviously has to be some bottleneck, but I don't know how to proceed to diagnose where the problem is since even btop reports the same numbers.

Animator: we spent a good chunk of time figuring out how to make the Iron Fish feel alive on the scene, move around properly, and still be something you clearly want to see. It ended up being a pretty simple setup a few animation loops plus basic movement logic but it does the job.

My distro is Cachy OS, and I'm using a cracked version of the Empress repack Dodi. I also have a dual boot with Windows, and it works fine there. The problem is that when I try to run it in Lutris, it says that Linux is not supported. I have many other cracked games working without problems; only this one is giving me this error. I even have Three Kingdoms working without issues. Does anyone have a solution?

So... when I'm running Steam on Kubuntu and a game is available for Windows or SteamOS, which version does it install? (I could see it saying 'This ISN'T SteamOS!' and giving me the Windows version instead.)

I know its not exactly gaming but it needs wine and GPU support which are related to gaming on Linux so please dont delete this. The Linux version of davinci resolve has codec issues so I want to get the windows version using wine. It worked but it says it can't find my GPU. I have an amd GPU with all drivers installed.

So, with the addition of first party Xbox Play Anywhere games to Battle.Net, you can finally buy games on the Xbox and (a small handful) will be available to play on Linux with no problems because of crossbuy. I've been doing it with Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 with decent success. This was on Mint and SteamOS, mind you, but I thought I'd remind folks that this is an option! Just gotta run the Battle.Net launcher through Steam with Proton Experimental, and then any game you have available will just work!

Both are available for free, with Epic Games' blessing. OldUnreal provides community patches for the old games that make them run on newer systems.

The current build of Unreal has a slight bug on Wayland which prevents the game from starting unless it is started from a terminal with the -log flag.

Screen tearing when playing with two monitors while a video is playing on the second monitor. Everything works fine on Windows. I tried syncing the refresh rate and resolution, but it didn't help. Enabling vertical sync didn't help either. Affect all games.

Monitor 1: 1080p 60Hz (HDMI) Monitor 2: 1440p 165Hz (DP)

I use arch and hyprland, JaKoolIt dotfiles. Videocard - rtx 4060, nvidia-open drivers. I installed Far Cry 5 from torrent, like exe file and many others, that means i didn't installed from steam, and I don't launch it from steam. I tried a lot of versions - GE-Proton 10-26 and 9-27, Proton-LG 10-25, WineLG 10-20, and tried to change api (vulkan version), but didn't try WineD3D opengl. Game only launched when I used wine, but game doesn't see gamepad - xbox 360 gamepad, connected with OTG-receiver. With other versions of proton little window with Far Cry 5 Intro was appearing and game was crashing, window was closing.

Also, I wanted to play other game - Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy. It just doesn't launch, I tried wine and different versions of PortProton. Nothing was changed.
