I was chasing a Steam Deck / Lutris launch problem and kept looking in the wrong place.

Hi,

I'm having issues with the Gamesir's cyclone 2 pro USB dongle, it gets detected as a new USB device every few hours, the gamepad is actually turned off it's just the USB dongle that is plugged into my PC.

I'm not sure if this is on a exact interval but couple times a day at most.

Getting the USB plugged in sound and popup in KDE kind of annoys me, nothing major but if you have some kind of fix I would highly appreciate it.

--- EDIT:
Taking it out of the USB port is not really a viable solution for me, it's plugged in the back and that would be too much of a hustle.

So, I finally want to buy a gaming laptop for my wife and myself and I only want it to have Linux installed, so basically everything needs to be supported.

Is there a gaming laptop with high performance and a great display and also has hardware that supports Linux?

I have a gaming laptop with 2 GPUs: NVIDIA RTX 3050 and Intel Iris Xe Graphics. I use NVIDIA on-demand Optimus profile. No matter what I do, House Flipper won't start with dedicated NVIDIA GPU, and when I launch it with "prime-run" the game crashes instantly. Any ideas what's wrong?

I was able to OC the Core, but memoru frequency seems already at maximum

I guess that gonna mean being able to unlock the boot loader among other prerequisites.

I was trying to play with a buddy some emulator games via parsec. we go to configure controller 2 in Dolphin and none of my controller inputs are being detected when I'm connected to a client. meanwhile mouse inputs are ok.. I have a ps4 controller any ideas on what settings to change or what am I missing ?

I didn't notice it while playing Mario Galaxy, but in Zelda Skyward Sword HD the right Joy-Con starts to slow down every so often.

I read that an app called Betterjoy fixes the problem, although it does cause a bit of input lag (It doesn't bother me as long as I fix the other problem), but it doesn't have a Linux version.

I am using Bazzite.

Hello, I am using Arch Linux and have been for awhile. I have tons of games working but I am having issues getting Outlast Trials and Warhammer Dark Tide working. Both of these games are running into a similar issue where I am unable to connect to the game server. Both games have similar logs where they are timing out when trying to reach the game server.

I am dual booting and they work on Windows. The games also work on the Steam Deck on the same network. I can get the games to work if I use my hotspot. I do have Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime installed and I have tried many different version of Proton and GE-Proton.

I am lost and just don't know where to go from here so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, Switched over to linux on home computer in October and then bought a new computer in February.
It appears I somehow have both Flatpack and DNF linux going. I think most of my game are able to be seen and launching steam GUI on the desktop as the flatpack version.
I tried launching steam DNF version in the Menu and I can't see my games (Probably just need to change some settings to see them).
I want to uninstall one of them but when I checked `~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/data/Steam/userdata/` vs `~/.local/share/Steam` they both had recent file updates. Is it possibly using data from both? Should I uninstall DNF as it seems the less used or is there a good reason to fiddle with its configs to see games and then uninstall the other one?
I mainly noticed this after trying to join a steam game of helldivers after using `steam steam://joinlobby....\` that worked on the previous computer.

Hi folks,

Just wanted to get some opinions on this. I've been on a couple of different distros since I got my 9070 XT, but I've settled on Fedora 43 and enjoying it so far. I'm not necessarily blaming Fedora or anything, but I've been sort of disappointed with gaming performance so far. Not sure if I'm expecting too much, and I know I could be CPU bottlenecking. But I'd like to think I could hit a consistent 60 FPS on a game from 2021 with my specs. The result is the same whether I disable RT or not as well.

Let me know any thoughts or tweaks I could make - thanks!

Recentemente migrei do Windows 10 para o Zorin os, sistema maravilhoso, mas no the witcher 3 estou tendo um infortúnio. quando carrego um save, morro ou dou fast travel, o FPS cai bruscamente.

config:

xeon 2640v3

32gb ram

rx7600

proton GE latest

não tinha esse problema no win10, alguém já teve esse problema, ou tem alguma sugestão? desde já Agradeço.

I have bedrock edition for mobile phones, but not for Chromebook as I thought they were sold together, not separately. I don't have much money and do not wish to get Java due to that. The official launcher for Minecraft Bedrock for Chromebook needs an additional purchase for download. I am wondering if there is any sites or apps to safely install an optimised version for Chromebooks that would work like how Prism would, though for Bedrock. Thank you in advance

I've been really enjoying Crimson Desert and It has been performing relatively well on linux thus far... until now.
I decided to go north randomly and explore the desert area early. I mainly use the grapple arm for traversal when suddenly, climbing up the rocks caused me to freeze. It isnt immediate and there's no lagging or warning signs. Looking at my totals, Vram seems fine, memory is more than adequate, and CPU goes on Idle, waiting for something.

I can go anywhere I want just fine as long as I dont use the grapple arm and its puzzling that I feel like the only person who's posted this as I am beginning to be convinced it might be a linux problem but I am here anyways as I feel most people in FAQ's will point to linux being the problem with A TON OF TESTING.

• any other area of the map (so far) > fine
• Lowered all graphical settings > still crash
• +enabled FSR and frame gen >still crash
• verified cache integrity > still crashes
• unload and reload > still will crash
• swap characters and back > still crash
• downgrade proprietary driver from 590 to 580 (included re-precompiling shaders for like 20 minutes) > still crash
• Happens with or without my normal Launch args (see below)
• Happens in Proton GE 34 and experimental (have not tried hotfix)

BUT I have a theory, I noticed climbing and going about without grapple arm, effects and paritcles acted "buggy" sometimes not spawning particles or models for the wings or force palm and even UI being delayed. GPU and CPU ramped up more than normal which was odd for climbing the side of the cliff. This all made me wonder if i was bugging out some sort of LOD chunk triggers and they forgot to add the grapple arm to the list of effects and models to unload when the game gets too heavy.

Im open to suggestions anyways because it sounds like other people dont have this problem with the lack of talk I'm seeing.

I wanted to install some flatpaks for the old Nintendo emulators that got shut down. I see the "public" githubs for these flatpaks on flathub show that they haven't received updates since they were officially shut down. Does that mean the flatpak from flathub itself has also been untouched since then? Or could someone have done some updates to them without it being reflected in those public githubs? I'm not really sure how flatpaks on flathub work when it comes to these public repositories and their updates.

I don't know much about this so I'm just wondering if it's safe to install them or if someone could have maliciously made updates to them since they were officially shut down and went into maintenance mode. I went ahead and added them to the mask list and removed their network permissions via flatseal.

I just got a Logitech g502 Hero & while setting it up I was trying to use piper to edit the button mapping & colours but noticed it wasn't doing anything. For example whenever I change one of the rgb colours & click apply, the colour cycle resets but doesnt actually switch to what I applied it to. I have ratbagd already installed so I don't whats wrong with it. Im using Mint btw if that makes any difference
