Unreal Engine touch Screen issues SDL
Anyone dealt with Touchscreen issues with Unreal Engine.
Seems to not work well then stops working as you get errors of running out of indexes.
SDL seems to be sending finger and mouse at the same time with I think confuses Unreal Engine.

Mouse jitters only with a particular mouse model?
Did anyone else come across this particular issue where there's this mouse jiteriness introduced when using a certain mouse? Maybe this subreddit will know more. I am on Fedora 42, tried all kinds of DEs bar Sway.
Mouse in question: I have a wired ZOWIE by BenQ EC2 mouse at 800 DPI that is problematic. I tried my old SteelSeries and there was no problem, everything was perfectly smooth.
How it looks:
https://imgur.com/a/I7pwgwn - you can spot how at random the cursor jumps quite a few pixels, seemingly at random
Pixels are being skipped at random when doing fine adjustments, in 3d games the mouse movement in tandem with keyboard movement causes the edges of objects I am focused on with my aim to be very jittery and this also translates into tracking targets that are 'teleporting' whenever I use mouse, as if I were playing DOOM 1. This is on a 144Hz monitor with over 400 FPS being streamed with frames being fed at a constant 3 ms. Not happening when I use another mouse. Tried on a laptop running the same Fedora build, same issue with the Zowie mouse. Not a thing on Windows.
I love Zowie, they have fantastic quality mice and I'd hate to have to replace it with a new overpriced mouse or an 'underpriced' one of a maker I don't trust, so if anyone has any idea what I could try.
More info: - Fedora 42, GNOME (Wayland, tried all other DEs), up-to-date - Changed polling rate (400 - 800 - 1200 - 1600) with no change - Used all other USB ports. - Cursor itself jitters when on desktop, no matter what app is being displayed or game played - Mouse smoothing is off, monitor frequency at 144Hz, GPU producing steady 400 FPS - Fine on Windows - Fine on other PCs and laptops running Windows, not on devices running Fedora

Dead By Daylight wayland
I installed DBD from steam. I run it on hyprland and it gives the error "failed to initialized dependencies" but I have everything. Since I played it before on Linux on I3 I thought it might be because of wayland, I was right. I downloaded Gnome and opened the game, runs smooth.
Problem is I don't want to logout login just for a game. Is there anyway to make it work in wayland or not?

Elden Ring.
Oh Linux, how I love you so.
I've been running Bazzite for about 2 months now and I love it. But I will never ever be able to fully commit to any Distro, not just Bazzite.
I LOVE Linux. It has been fantastic to me, everything just works. However...
Easy Anti-Cheat is a life ruiner.
Elden Ring Nightreign uses EAC. I was very disappointed when I could boot the game but not connect to the servers.
I know this is a complaint within the community but it truly is the final wall between myself (and im sure many others) from fully converting to Linux.
So; keep on dual booting folks. Maybe we will win someday

Very surprised by the state of Linux gaming and overall desktop stability
I'm a long time Windows poweruser, SysAdmin type of stuff, and I have been always interested in running Linux desktop, but I never gave it an honest, serious try
Windows has been degrading more and more over time since the launch of Windows 11, recently all of my games started failing, crashing, etc. First it was just MHWilds and I understood that one to a degree since it's so poorly optimized, then was Khazan, weird, and many others later.
I felt fed up with Windows BS and I went straight into the Arch Linux experience a week ago, somewhat minimal with just Hyprland (Dual Boot setup just in case urgent stuff I already know how it works on Windows)
OH MY GOD it has been such a nice experience, yeah since I'm building my own experience things go wrong and fail, I was already aware that could happen, but the fact that I CAN LOOK AT LOGS AND SHOVE MY HAND INSIDE THE OPERATING SYSTEM TO FIX IT, I love it so much.
Imagine your computer doing what you tell it to do.
Like yeah, Discord crashing because there's no notification manager was a funny one to figure out, but once you do it's all perfectly fine.
And I'm aware that it's just recently that the experience became so nice, it wasn't like that before Valve made Proton. I feel like the wave of new Linux users since Proton has been a very strong motivator for developers to polish Linux software, correct me if I'm wrong.
I was expecting the Linux experience to be harsh, specially since I was going with Arch and Hyprland, not close at all to the Windows experience, and it's probably because I'm already comfortable with the terminal and juggling config files, but it hasn't been nearly as bad as I imagined, most stuff I could figure out, and there's only 2 things that I straight up can't do but that's Nvidia's fault, not anyone else, and they aren't vital to me. (Waydroid for Arknights and GPU acceleration on KVM)
And I was already hunting for a discount on the AMD 9070XT anyways, since I'm fed up with NVIDIA BS. So that will come once I find a nicely priced one.
I'm sticking with Linux for the time being , I have found no reason to boot Windows since I made the change.
Loving it here. Linux is awesome

Is there any sort of command-line api that will allow me to launch games directly with command line without having to use steam GUI?
Basically title. I use Lutris to launch all my games and I have this obsession of having the least amount of launchers/clients to go through as possible. My ideal scenario is to just click on launch on lutris and it takes me to the games main menu. I'm already able to do this with epic-games using legendary, but I'm confused on how to do this with steam.
PS: Before anyone tells me to "just use steam normally" - this is just my personal obsession, I'm going out of my way to ask how to do this, so if you can't help me that's fine - just don't tell me to use steam. Thanks

Programs for screen recording and video analysis
So basically I currently use going screen recorder, but the recording comes out very greyed out and low color, not how it's supposed to be, is there another app I can use or is there some settings to fix this?
Also I do data analysis from video recordings for some games, is there a app that will allow me selected a video file and mark stuff on the time line of when something happens and can be frame by frame checking? I know VLC kind of has this but not really

Does anyone have experience with gaming on void? I'm interested mostly in steam and controller support. Is there much setup required, or does it just work out of the box?
