Dawn of War 1 performance issues
I've been playing through the GOG version of the original version (NOT the new Definitive Edition) of the base game of Dawn of War 1 using Lutris + Proton Experimental. So far, I've noticed an issue where the game stutters a lot when there's a large amount of objects/models in play. This issue seems to also be present on Proton versions 9.0, 8.0, and 7.0 as well as GE-Proton10-17. Proton 5.0 doesn't seem to have this issue EXCEPT every ~10 seconds, the game freezes (other than audio) for ~1-2 seconds. I also can't seem to use Proton 5.0 with Lutris because it crashes when it tried to create a new prefix with it, so I have no choice but to use Steam with Proton 5.0. I've also tried using Proton 3.16 with Steam using this guide, but it didn't work for me (the game window didn't even open). Anyone else encountering similar issues?

WoW launches Off-center
I am running WoW / Bnet via Steam on Fedora 42 Gnome. I tried both Proton Experimental and Proton Hotfix, but this problem just started after doing a big system update.
When I launch WoW it opens off-center of the screen. I can see things highlight when hovering over them, but I can't actually click on anything.
I once managed to get it in windowed mode and was able to click inside the game, but where the mouse cursor was different than where it ended up clicking.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Thanks!

How do I properly backup my Steam games + their settings so that I can later restore them on another distro?
Hi, I would just like to backup all of my Steam games and their config / settings.
Should I just backup ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/ or is there more to it?
I remember backing up ~/.steam/, later copying it to Bazzite and it breaking a bunch of things.
Most of the guides I've seen are either pretty old or talking about backing up from Windows and restoring on Linux, but I would just like to keep it in the Linux ecosystem.
Like... is this guide still valid despite it being from 2014?
So what's the proper way to do this?

FNAF 4 resolution issue.
I launched FNAF 4 through Lutris, and the game only appears in a small area of the screen, while the rest is completely black. I also tried running it through regular Wine, but in that case, the game stretches to fill the entire screen, but various artifacts appear on the screen.
Unfortunately, I can't use Gamescope because it's not available in my distribution's repositories (I'm using Debian 13).

Nobara Linux and games not detecting my GPU
Hello fellow linux friends, I've been rocking a 3070 for a while and decided to upgrade and try for the first time AMD with a RX 9060 XT 16gb. Before doing the swap, i made sure to clean my nvidia drivers, shut down my pc, swapped the GPUs and everything went fine. When i opened my system, it was on the igpu so i did the drivers installation, rebooted and everything is super clean...
Somehow, my neofetch detects my gpu and shows 9060 XT 16gb. But my system infos, when i go in system settings, just says "radeon graphics", and when i open games, it automatically uses my igpu even if i disabled it in the Bios, with no option to use my dgpu. Even with a custom launch command in steam.
The werd part. Amongst all the games tested, half of them detects my gpu, and the other don't. For example, Overwatch, Cyberpunk and helldivers cannot for the love of god detect my 9060xt but Marvel Rivals and Stellar Blade automatically launch with it.
Tl;dr : My rx 9060xt is being detected only by half of my games and the other half forces the use of my iGpu.

Noobish question, but which distros can provide the best gaming experience for an 9060xt?
Hey all, Im a newish linux user, just installed ubuntu on my laptop a few months ago and I'm never going back to windows.
About a week ago I ordered a setup with a 9600x gpu, which to my understanding, because it's new, most distros don't yet support it, especially LTS ones.
I'm looking for a relatively stable distro that is able to support it, ideally without too much hassle. I really like the gnome DE, and I'd prefer if it was noob-friendly looking as I just switched but I am willing to learn.
What would y'alls recommend?
Thanks in advance!
