Já fiz de tudo pra tentar rodar e sempre aparece isso, ele rodou só uma vez e depois crashou com um "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" mas isso foi uma unica vez e agora quando eu dou play com esse comando logo depois do launcher ele sempre fecha sozinho, estou usando o GE-PROTON-10-34, como migrei recentemente para o linux mint estou aprendendo algumas coisa, bom alguem ai consegue jogar o GTA V da STEAM pelo LINUX MINT?

I've been on Bazzite for a couple of months and am losing patience with my own ignorance. I tried playing Doom 3 BFG yesterday, but that thing is rough. The port was sloppy to begin with, and the years really show at this point. I also want to return to Fallout, but without mods, I'm not going to enjoy the game, either.

I don't remember modding under Windows being any particular challenge. ModDB and Nexus Mods were both invaluable.

When I look at mods now, I cannot understand anything I'm reading. Modding under Linux is supposed to work, but it appears that I need to first become a systems engineer if I want more than what Steam can provide.

I'm not asking anyone to teach me all I need in a single Reddit post when I legitimately need hand holding, step by step instruction.

Who can explain modding Steam games for new Linux users?

I have Windows and CachyOS on my PC on different SSDs. My Steam-Games are installed on Windows, so i told Steam on my Linux Distro to use these game files - no doubled downloads. I am not sure tho if there could occur any issues. Some Games are running solid, others have their problems (...).

My game keeps crashing on Linux Mint. It's been hard to find any answers online since basically everybody on Linux says Subnautica works perfectly right out of the box.

For some reason saving the game seems to be the primary cause. When the game was freshly installed, it would freeze every time I saved the game. Luckily the save still goes through, but I have to restart. After some research I increased my swap size, which helped. Now it usually freezes after saving 3 times. That was weird though, because my system is using about 6.5/16 Gb of actually RAM, and the game itself is only using about 3-3.5.

When it freezes initially it's almost like the screen is frozen but the game is working fine. If I alt-tab I can see the game moving in the background while staying in the tabbed view, but after about a minute it fully freezes. The audio also keeps going until the full freeze.

Also if I just dont save 3 times to hit the freeze criteria, it will just freeze after about 30 minutes anyway. Every time it freezes I can immediately relaunch the game and it plays just fine for the next 20 minutes or 3 saves.

Some other things to note. I tried left clicking steam and forcing it run with the dedicated GPU. I'm on a laptop. My temps are in the 40-45 C range and I have a fan pad under it, so i doubt its overheating. It also doesnt feel warm. GPU is an RTX 5050.

With how trash Microsoft is being I do want to switch over to Linux, but for gaming everything I see says you have to trick the game into thinking it’s on windows, and that takes up some performance. My computer is an Alienware x15 with a rtx 3060 laptop gpu, 16 g ddr5, and I believe a 12th gen intel i7 (I’ll check up once I get home from work). I play a lot of different games and don’t mind using lower settings, but I’m just worried about having enough power to actually play what I want. My main worry is star citizen with how unoptimized it is.

• 3060 Laptop GPU and Intel i5-12500H

Game runs at a choppy 60FPS, and only goes up to 100 in the main menu, both with proton (hotfix, experimental, GE, 10; all work the same) and native. Also consumes a crap tonne of battery, even though other games like Helldivers work just fine. Tell me what to include if you need logs, cause I have no clue what to look for.
