PC shutting down while loading Vulkan Shaders
Not sure if this has been asked before and apologies if I'm breaking any rules. Noob here but I'm currently on Garuda Dr460nized and whenever I try to launch any of my games from my Steam library then the pc just switches off at 86% or 88% percent while loading Vulkan shaders. I tried to keep an eye on resource usage and CPU doesn't jump to 100% so not sure what could the problem could be. I'm currently on an RTX3060 12GB, 16GB of RAM. Games I tried to launch are GoW 2018, Ragnarok, NFS Heat and Sekiro. I did also perform system updates but still no luck. Just to add a bit more specs, RYZEN 5 3600 processor, 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz RAM, 512GB NVME SSD

Girls Frontline 2 Exilium failed to start
The installation was successful, and the launcher suggested starting the game. Yesterday, it happened once; the game started in window mode, then automatically switched to FullScreen, downloaded some updates, and requested a restart. After that, it won't start again. I started it using Heroic with GE Proton 9-20. There is no information on ProtonDB or the Steam Community.
So does anyone know what to do?

Black ops 6 isn't launching
So I recently switched over to Linux because I got such of Windows and their shady programs they install without me approving them. I also don't like that they use up a ton of RAM when I open a game. Since I made the switch I'm no longer able to play black ops 6 thru the Xbox game pass so I purchased it thru steam. It finished downloading a while ago and I have been trying to get it to launch, but it won't. I've tried to go to properties and then to compatibility and selected GE-PROTON9-20 but even that isn't working. I'll click on Play and for a second it will say "cancel" then say "stop" them it would close itself and go back to play again.
Can someone please help me figure this out?

Hardware raid volume not supported
Hello, I wanted to install Ubuntu on my computer. I’m using a hardware raid on my motherboard to create a unique volume out of my 2 NVMe drives. When I try to install it, the hardware raid volume isn’t supported by Ubuntu. Do you know if there’s a way to fix it ? Or maybe another distribution will support it ? Thank you !

Wine/Proton unable to see directories other than installed directory
I am installing MO2 (mod organizer 2) for Skyrim SE on a new computer with the same storage (ssd and hdd) as my previous computer (albiet a fresh install). I want to organize where my mods and stuff are stored (As well as bring over mods from previous computer) but MO2 (more specifically Wine I think) can only see the steam library on the ssd and not the other directories on the ssd, and can't see the hdd at all.
I tried adding the locations manually through winecfg but that didn't help. I checked if I was using a flatpak version of Steam but that was also not the case. I then uninstalled skyrim and reinstalled it completely fresh and installed MO2 completely fresh and the issue persists.
Any ideas what is going on here?
I'd imagine one way to fix this is to simlink the directories of interest but I'd prefer not to have to do that in case I need to call executables outside the data directory from within MO2.
The only difference between the previous computer storage and the storage now is I have all my partitions encrypted now, whereas before it was only the home partition. I doubt it is the encryption because proton can't see the other folders on the ssd next to the install directory

FPS gaming... doubts
My apologies ladies and gents for this very pitiful post but I'd like to get some things off my chest. I've installed arch "the hard way" and distro-hopped to no ends. I'm bored. I can't just play an fps game I wanna play. Cod... nope... battlefield... nope... delta force... nope... arena breakout... nope... apex... nope... and now xdefiant... no. I'm finding it so hard to stay on linux because I can't just play what I want and that's competitive fps titles. Can anyone offer some advice here? Sure there's dual boot but I left windows for the same reason many of you did. I respect privacy. Debloat windows seems like my only option. I'm also used to tiling wm's, so glazewm or komorebi... I'm lost please help me find my way?

Does gaming in a VM protect from RCE/RATs?
I've been thinking of following the BlandManStudios KVM VFIO gaming laptop guide but running all my games through the attactched windows VM to avoid RCE exploits from affecting me (other than revealing my steam info I guess?). Would this work as I imagined? I plan on playing some older games (such as the old CoD games) which have known RCE exploits that I want to stay 100% safe from.

I’m am so done with multiplayer games
So I’m tired of playing multiplayer games where it drives me crazy like anti cheat and mental health drains like I was addicted to destiny 2 and trying to find something to get my grind off (still looking for that game alternative) I’m tired of feeling like I’m not doing anything right when I die on the game all the time every time I play something some developers say like you have to download this program to play like I’m some kind of toddler saying I need my parents permission to play that game. There is so many cheaters in the game that I can’t play it no more I’m so done, it’s causing me stress and mental health problems I have attempted to switch to Linux so many times it’s just that one itch of nerve to play Destiny 2,
I’m am done I’m going to try my best to not play destiny 2 and switch to Linux and games suggestions are appreciated. Sorry about my rant is just how I felt

Something like Playnite on linux?
One of the things i miss from windows is playnite, lutris have somewhat of a library, but i would like a more cohesive enviroment with all launcher in the same pool, filters, info, links, videos and somewhat, a more complete experience.
Trying to sort out 700 games in 4 different launcher is a chore.
Thank you beforehand.

EA app won't download Sims 4
I looked at all the recommendations. Tried downgrading my proton and nothing just says starts and ends. Steam tinkerer tool which actually opened up EA but won't download sims 4. It made a windows thing and told me i have no memory which is not true since I have plenty of room. Does anyone have any recommendations? Or is this one game I won't be able to play. I have a physical copy but using the free steam one since my disk reader is broke. Not sure what else to do.

Headset microphone from headphone jack refuses to work on any Linux distro.
Basically the title. The mic is recognized even when it's not plugged in, but it doesn't have any sound input, it's completely silent. I've tried everything, including PulseAudio, pavucontrol, enabling unconnected pins with alta-tools. I'm at a complete loss. I'm not sure if this is a driver issue.

Windows gaming KVM? Has anyone tried it
I currently use a second SSD exclusively for a few Windows programs and three games that can’t run on Linux. I’ve been watching a lot of SomeOrdinaryGamers, and Mutta talks about building a Windows VM using a KVM with GPU passthrough. This setup lets him play games with anti-cheat while making Windows think it’s running on a physical machine.
It’s impressive how easy he makes it look—he could probably do it in his sleep! I’m just unsure if I want to go through with setting it up. It would be nice not to have to reboot and select my Windows machine every time I want to play those games, though.

Pop_OS! and Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000. Games won't launch unless the system is set to Nvidia Graphics
Using the latest consumer release of Pop_OS! and have had sporadic issues with games not launching. I had reached a point where I just assumed that Proton wasn't working for those games but I randomly decided to switch it from "Hybrid" to "Nvidia" (this is a laptop) and games launch fine but the system exclusively runs in Nvidia graphics now which isn't great for the battery life.
Wondering if I can do something to make the "Hybrid" approach properly switch between graphics mode automatically. I've tried adding exceptions in Nvidia Xserv which was annoying and time consuming to track down all the appropriate flags but it still didn't work. It also doesn't work if I right click an application and choose 'launch with discrete graphics'.
