Is FSR4 with optiscaler possible on mesa 25.1.4?
Recently did a build with a 9070XT, I'm trying to get FSR4 working in Cyberpunk using Optiscaler but it's not giving me the option to use FSR4. I followed the instructions here except for one thing, which is installing mesa-git - I'm on fedora so there isn't an easy way to install it, I could build it myself but I kinda don't wanna go through the trouble of that. But, the guide doesn't explicitly say what version of mesa is required, as mesa-git essentially just means latest from the gitlab. Fedora is on 25.1.4 which is still fairly modern, though mesa-git is on 25.2 from what I can tell. Is 25.2 absolutely necessary for FSR4? Or is it that I did something else wrong with Optiscaler?

Emudeck not working properly on Bazzite
I’ve been having issues with emudeck on my bazzite pc such as not installing steam rom manager and emulators such as Xenia as well as error detecting my storage where all my roms are, why is this happening?

I have no experience with VR but I have a VR headset I would like to test. Is that actually a thing on Linux, or am I just fucked ?
any games / software I can use ? they would need to be free or pirateable as it's just for a short test.

I just saw this on steam after installing the game because it wasn't there before. Does it actually go kernel level?
GamePass games playable on Steam Deck through Battle.net
I want to make the jump to Bazzite...
So I have a Windows11 Gaming machine with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with an RX 7800XT, and have had enough of constant Windows nonsense. I also own a Steam Deck and have very much enjoyed tinkering with the OS on that.
So I'd like to make the jump to installing Bazzite on my my main machine, but I have a few questions before I do.
- I am aware AMD Adrenaline isn't available on Linux, so how are things like Anti-Lag and FSR handled?
- I am used to playing most games at 1440p on Max/Ultra, are there any restraints in Linux for getting max performance out of the CPU/GPU? What system settings are recommended, if any?
- How is undervolting handled? All BIOS or are there some recommended apps?
- Same question but for Fan Curves?
- What is the difference between the Desktop ISO and the Home Theatre PC ISO?
- I generally play Steam games but have the odd Ubisoft game, I understand that's all handled through Lutris?
- How does HDR fair?
- What am I missing? Is it all too good to be true? Whats great about it and what could be better?

Anybody here have any experience running an eGPU on the Thinkpad T14 Gen 5 (AMD)?
I don't know if these details will help, but here are some specs:
2x 40 Gbps USB-C ports
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U
Integrated GPU: AMD Radeon 780M
Distro: Fedora 41, KDE Plasma 6.4.2, Wayland
I already have a RTX 2080 from my old desktop, so I just need the case/shell, but the one that I want (Razer Core X) is a couple hundred bucks. So I'm just wondering if it'd be worth it for me to invest in an eGPU before making the purchase.
Thanks in advance.

Half FPS on Wayland
So, I am on Ubuntu 25.04 and I am using Wayland. Wayland is cutting my refresh rate by half. That does not happen on X11. I have a 75Hz monitor and when I play with vsync, I get 37~38 fps. I also can feel that when I am not playing.
I have a Ryzen 7 5700X3D with an Arc B580. Any ideas on how to fix that?

PSA according to protondb reviews Lost Ark is currently working on Linux for at least 1 week
Downloaded and tried it myself. Works great EAC loaded properly and the game works. I know Lost Ark has had a few moments where you could play but not like this. I can’t find anything official but this is looking good, hopefully they just decided to “check the box” and not make a big fuss about it

Android emulators like BlueStacks?
So, I tried Waydroid and Genymotion, both without any success.
Waydroid gives me this when I do sudo waydroid session start: (031473) [10:22:46] ERROR: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ExecFailed: /usr/bin/dbus-launch terminated abnormally without any error message (031473) [10:22:46] See also: <https://github.com/waydroid> (031473) [10:22:46] Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/waydroid/tools/__init__.py", line 70, in main actions.session_manager.start(args) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^^^^^^ File "/usr/lib/waydroid/tools/actions/session_manager.py", line 33, in start name = dbus.service.BusName("id.waydro.Session", dbus.SessionBus(), do_not_queue=True) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^^ File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/dbus/_dbus.py", line 209, in __new__ return Bus.__new__(cls, Bus.TYPE_SESSION, private=private, ~~~~~~~~~~~^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ mainloop=mainloop) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/dbus/_dbus.py", line 99, in __new__ bus = BusConnection.__new__(subclass, bus_type, mainloop=mainloop) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/dbus/bus.py", line 120, in __new__ bus = cls._new_for_bus(address_or_type, mainloop=mainloop) dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ExecFailed: /usr/bin/dbus-launch terminated abnormally without any error message
Genymotion had an error I dont remember anymore.
I want to emulate some games.
Are there any more emulators or should I try to fix those issues? I have a Ryzen 7 5700X3D with an Arc B580
