I am trying to install AC Odyssey on Nobara 42 6.16.9. I tried both versions of gymgirl and dadi and keep getting the same error.

I think i tried any settings i could find on Lutris, different wine versions (wine hq, ge 10, ge 8), i tried installed as new game of add locally. Tried any directory it provides (C/Z/X), inside/outside /home. I keep getting the same error. Ofc no AV to remove any "suspicious" files but besides that i did checksums also, no issues. I tried to run it directly from wine through terminal, same.

I have plenty of disk headroom (350gb), i have swap (8gb), i don't know what else to try or where to begin. I have never encountered that error with many successful installs so far (oblivion re, bg3, wreckfest, cyberpunk etc etc etc).

Any thoughts?

TLDR Windows desktop user forever, been using Mint on an old laptop for a few years and finally switched my main desktop to Mint

It just works - the only stuff I can't play is anti cheat slop which I don't want anyway, so I'm not missing anything there

I've been able to do all the normal Windows stuff I'd expect too like being able to play RDR2 without issues including modding it

I can even play PEAK with my mates and use mods

Bethesda games work as normal and I can mod them like normal

I switched because someone said "Windows is actively getting worse, whereas Linux is actually getting better" and my god were they right

I've yet to find a reason to switch back and when I have a need to do something in Windows, I can just boot up a VM and Rustdesk connect to it for a simple sandbox

I feel like every time I check a game on https://www.protondb.com/ it's gold level at a minimum

Hello everyone.

I want to show you Zordeer and Meganimus, game launchers built with PyQt6.

Zordeer is a launcher for games that run via Proton, but it doesn't use umu-launcher.

Meganimus is simply a launcher that centralizes native Linux and emulator games in one place.

Both have only one file: the executable file is the code itself.

If possible, I'd like you to test them and give feedback.

I didn't create them with the intention of replacing any existing apps; I simply wanted an option that uses Qt6 and was simple and easy to use.

I released them in deb packages with Ubuntu in mind, but they can be used on other distros; all that's required are basic dependencies like PyQt6.

To run the games, Zordeer uses the same dependencies as native Steam.
