I've uploaded a video of the he Helldiver's 2 intro cutscene as that's a guarantee way I've found of causing one of these crashes but it also happens fairly regularly in gameplay too. The system reboots after the green screen shows and there are absolutely no logs or crash reports to suggest anything went wrong.

I'm running a Ryzen 5600X with an RX 5700 XT on OpenSUSE TW. I also quickly installed EndeavourOS on another SSD to see if it was distro related and got the exact same crash on a fresh install.

Many games that I play run absolutely fine and don't experience this but some are guarantee every time i play. I really don't have a clue how to start diagnosing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to run the Steam (rpm) version of Guild Wars 2 on Fedora 41 KDE. It opens the GW2 launcher screen and logs into Steam. However, when I click the play button on the launcher screen it comes up with an error dialog saying unable to initialize 3D output.

This is on a Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 laptop with i7 12700H CPU, 16Gb Ram, nVidia RTX 3050 GPU. Fedora 41, KDE Plasma version 6.2.4, KDE Framework 6.9.0, Qt version 6.8.1, Kernel version 6.12.6-200.fc41.x86_64, Wayland. Tried various versions of Proton (hotfix, experimental, 9.0-4, 8.0-5, 7.0-6)

Any ideas how to solve this?

Does anyone know how the Lutris Flathub source works? The Steam source needs your creds, as does the itch.io source, but the Flathub source has no way for you to enter credentials and it's always empty ... the reload button gives this error:

TypeError: string indices must be integers, not 'str'

I logged into flathub.org in a browser, but I used my gitlab creds ... I just don't see how the Flathub source can do anything in Lutris without some sort of auth, creds or a token.

I do have Flatpak installed on my system via package manager and I have the 2048 game by chronos installed and working. I added the Flatpak runner and the 2048 game to Lutris, can launch it fine. I ask again ... what does the Flathub source do for me please? :-)

Another question I have is what is the local source? Similar questions really ... it seems unconfigurable and under "Sources", Local is always empty (just like Flathub).

Other random things I'm wondering about ...

1. Can I install Bottles or q4wine or other WINE prefix managers without it messing Lutris up? Just to see what they're like.
   
2. Do people give every Wine runner game its own wine prefix? It's roughly 1GB per prefix, it's a bit of a wound if the game itself is only 1 or 2 GB. Some games need it, however big or small.

I've been using Lutris for ages to run a few Steam games but mainly WoW BC. A month or two ago I started scratching my retro gaming itch for those 32 bit classics that Windows can no longer run. It's been a blast, got loads of 'em going ... TES1-4, CnC TD,RA,TS, MoHAA, NFS PU, Colin McRae .

A huge thank you to everyone who makes this all possible, so many moving parts ... Wine, Proton, UMU, Lutris, Vulkan, dxvk, vkd3d, not to mention Linux, GNU and Wayland and many more ... my collection of install CDs / DVDs rides again haha. That said ... gotta love a NoCD crack ;-)

Greetings

I am using Arch / EndavourOS and have installed Baldur's Gate 3 via MiniGalaxy.

Now I want to install Norbyte's Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender, It states to

"Extract DWrite.dll to the Baldurs Gate 3\bin directory (eg. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin"

My issue is I can't find no Baldurs Gate bin nor data folder. The folder MiniGalaxy directs me to is just ~2.5 GB, while the game installer itself is already over 100 GB.

Hey people, i recently discovered the Heroic launcher app and i used it to play rocket league. It works great and except for adding friends i had 0 issues. I got hell let loose from epic games yesterday (its free) and i wanted to play it true the heroic launcher like i did with rocket league. I dowloaded it
it launches all good, but when i get to the start screen it says "press any button to start", and no matter which button i press it doesn't work. Any tips?

I'm from turkey so i have to use a VPN to get roblox working. Idk if its a VPN related problem but i can not login to roblox on sober, the captcha window pops up and when i do the captcha nothing happens. (Im using arch btw, currently only tried on KDE PLASMA x11, using proton vpn, i could log into roblox on my browser)

Hey, i use nobara(fedora) and whenever I close firefox it simply forgets every password, and I have to reconnect my google accounts and everything else, not sure why it does that. I think it may be linked to another issue where, whenever I log on, an application called Kde6 wants to connect to the wallet or something, needing me to use the password. Would anyone please help me?

Iv'e been burned by a lot of games when it comes to anti cheat support, rainbow six seige calling us linux people cheaters, apex legends boasting that they have linux support for years only to pull the plug on it in 2024, and lastly gta v doing the exact same thing despite being an 11 yr old game. I do have a ps5 so I could just play marvel rivals there, but idk is it worth giving it a shot on pc or does anyone think they'll randomly decide to yank support in a few years?
