Steam and Battle.net support
Hey everyone!
I have been actively trying to switch to a Linux distribution for my personal computer for really all the positives that Linux provides.
My current snag is that I would like to play steam games like helldivers 2, as well as Battle.net games like d4, but am worried that certain flavors of Linux can’t support those games.
Is there a best couple of Linux flavors to look into for this? I’m happy to spend the time building what I would need to (granted I would need to review a guide if there is one). I’d like to also create vms (like windows or other Linux vms) so I don’t know if that would conflict with what would be good for gaming above.
I appreciate everyone’s help, pretty excited to move off of windows :)

Best distro/DE for gamepad use?
Hello guys, I'm looking for a good distro/DE/software to use with a gamepad from the couch. I'm not planning on playing any big titles, mainly emulation (dolphin/yuzu), steam will be rarely used.
Also the computer is kinda old hardware (i7-4790 & GTX750), so it would be nice to have good support.
I've seen similar posts to this but they are quite old, wanna know if there is better options now.
I was planning on using SteamOS as I think you can install it on any pc, but I've heard it has better support with AMD cards.
Thanks for the help y'all

Just released our puzzle game Sokobos 2 on Steam! \o/
Hi everyone, we just released Sokobos 2 on Steam, it runs natively on Linux and is playable on Steamdeck as well.
Sokobos 2 is a puzzle game about pushing vases into your cart, but you can push the cart too. It's all about small, focused puzzles and "aha!" moments. It teaches you its rules first and then trusts your problem solving skills, making it great for those curious as well as the veterans!
It's 15% off during its launch, you can check it out here

Fable: The lost chapters
Hi all I'm fairly new to gaming on linux but have been going through old discs and, thanks to lutris, most of them are playable. I'm having an issue with Fable: The Lost Chapters though. The game loads the installer but when asking to enter the 25 digit product code it only allows me to enter 24 digits.
The first box only let's me type in (or paste) 4 digits which is where I'm having the issue. I've tried in xp mode, windows 10 mode and proton but it's having the same issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

Ow2 fps fluctuations
I updated my computer recently and after launching ow2 my game would say I'm at 60fps but it felt like a span of 20-40 fps all over the place. i tried disabling the steam overlay that didn't work. i lowered my settings in game that didn't work. i can run the game at 200+ fps but my monitor is only 60 so i dont know why its being like this. does anyone know a fix or at least the problem.

Medal.exe
Hello!
I've recently switched to Linux and want to use Medal to clip & share. However, I've followed other people's experiences and used GE Proton 8-28 on Steam to try launch it but it doesn't seem to launch... has anyone found an alternative way of getting it to work? I'm keen on using Medal specifically because of its social media vibe - so using OBS or an alternative program wouldn't be for me.
Thanks in advance

As you can see, it's not really a PS3 controller, it's one of those imitation ones that get the job done. The thing is, I know for a fact that it has worked with other distros, but here I don't know, it's like it doesn't exist (tested it with PSCX2+Lutris).

Genshin Impact on Linux
Hi! Is it okay to play Genshin on Linux? I'm using Wine/Proton via Steam. I’ve read some posts (probably on this same subreddit) from around 2 years ago saying it works fine, but then I saw a more recent post (well, I think it’s recent — August 11) saying people are getting banned. But there are also comments saying it’s not true. So… who should I believe and what should I do? Any tips? And if you do get banned, how long does it last?
I’m not sure if I did it right — I downloaded the game and launcher on Windows (on an NTFS partition), then mounted that on Linux via Steam, set the launcher to run with Proton Experimental, and launched the game from there. There are some lags, but nothing too bad.
