So I remember trying Midnight Club LA using RPCS3 on windows a couple of years back and I remember it giving 30-45 fps. My rig was fairly similar at that time. I then tried RPCS3 on Mint a couple of months back and it gave me about 15 fps, regardless of settings or tweaks.

My question is, is there a huge difference in the stage of development/general performance of RPCS3's windows version versus its linux one, the same way it works with Xenia?

(For context: Xenia's native linux version is broken and unusable but the windows version works well on linux using proton).

If there's anyone here using RPCS3 on linux in general, please share your experience.

I am on Linux Mint using GE-Proton (10-25). The game launches, but the window doesn’t show properly it stays hidden in the panel sometimes it opens and connects other times shows a black screen with audio. Sometimes it appears, but breaks again if I alt-tab or switch apps. It has also crashed several times "steam something something has stopped responding". It has ran for 3hr but it is giving me problems.

Could mean the Steam Machine and Steam Frame are announced soon too?

So I have Tomb Raider I-III Remastered through GOG (thank you Amazon Prime), but when I went to launch it yesterday, it would crash under Wine, and only used about 1/4 of the screen space when I launched it with Proton-GE.

Anyone else encounter this, and does anyone have any advice? I’m running Nobara 43, for what that’s worth.

I have tried everything under the digital sun possible to get this stupid mod working i tried editing the scripts editing the files moving the files transfering, lua backend , lua frontend, openkh ALL OF THEM AND NONE ARE WORKING!!!

With doing everything it either downloads/extracts into infinity or doesnt install at all and im still stuck at the same point of KH1 CritMixPlus not loading the difficulty settings and crashing

What can i possibly do to get this mod fully working i have wasted hours every page i visit keeps not explaining or giving me contradictory answers like "outdate" or "only work with X and Y" Should i just give up at this point and assume i can never play this mod on steam deck?

I want to make the switch to Linux (Specifically CachyOS). I know that Steam has Proton which should make my non Linux games compatible. I have a couple games that are big and I don't want to have to redownload (The Finals, SW Battlefront II, Satisfactory, SW Jedi Fallen Order). Would it work to transfer the files onto the new system or do I need to redownload them to get them to launch properly?

I know it can work well, but I don't know weather some mods like "Awesome Spyglass" or "Structures Plus" can work well too.

Actually I believe the mods should work well, as they just call the api provided by ue. But my friend insists that these mod can nerver run on linux. I just a little curious, but I don't find any posts about successfully run the game with the mod

Hi I am trying to launch Virtual Cottage 2 via steam and it doesn't launch and crashes steam as well. I am using Fedora Asahi Linux Remix on an M1 Macbook Pro 2020. ( I AM VERY NEW TO LINUX THIS IS MY 1st INSTALL)

I know that in September, Google will block unverified APKs outside of Google Play, but I'm wondering, could this also affect Linux? (Consider how Sober or Minecraft launchers for Bedrock use the Android version and are ported to Linux.) Even so, could it still be affected, or not?

I have done everything that the mod and video has asked for literally EVERYTHING the files are​ patched, downgraded, the text and splash art shows up on the title scene but whenever im at the title screen and try to get the scripts running by pressing​ F2 No menu or console command shows up for me even when i minimize

Am i doing something wrong? Am i missing something super simple and im dumb?

Ive replaced the hook zip files with 3 different ones even the up to date one
