Steam segfault in background, cause unclear
Install info: Endeavour OS, KDE Plasma (6.4.5), kernel: 6.16.7-arch1-1, Wayland, native Steam build installed via AUR. I invoke yay on a daily basis and have done so multiple times today following these issues. I've also made sure I'm using the latest version of Steam by using the in-app version checker.
Since about noon or so today (so for about 4 hours now) I've noticed Steam will close silently. If I'm playing Cities: Skylines (using Proton Experimental), the game will crash as well shortly after following Steam's failure (I think starting a save causes this, including autosaves). Steam also will close silently and generate a crash .dmp without any game open.
I ran Steam via my terminal to peek at the console output, and after a while (this time about 50 minutes of uptime, sometimes it seems to take as little as 10 mins), it crashed again with the following output:

I suspect having my DS4 controller connected might be among the causes. I will continue to attempt to replicate this with alternate games/peripheral connections and add additional details as they present themselves (also happy to provide additional info about my build/setup). I do not have issues with memory access in other applications that I am aware of.

The Finals not launching after last update (8.1.0)
After the last update, every time I've tried to open the game, I get this pop up after the usual launch window.
Tried to change proton but it gives me the same error. I also used the "-dx11" argument. this fixes it, but runs worse and won't give me FSR options on the video configurations. I also tried to force vulcan by using "-vulkan", but it gives me another error message.

Scared about dualbooting windows and nobara (windows deleting grub)
So probably i will buy soon a gaming laptop hp victus 15 with amd ryzen 5 or 7 and rtx 4050 and probably 1000gb. I really want to use nobara or fedora on it mainly tp play games and code. I want to use windows only for playing games i can't on linux (like cs2 faceit, valorant, lol, pubg etc.), so i will give it a little less storage. The thing im scared about the most is windows yeeting the grub loader as then i cant boot into my main os and some people say they cant even boot up windows. T will be my first time installing linux on a real machine and not a vm so i really dont wanna mess this up. If i could just disable the windows updates and freeze it and only try when a bigger feature comes, that would be great and also tell me what should i do i grub disapears and i cant load to linux or maybe even windows.

CS2 resolution problem
I have a 2560x1440 monitor, however some Valve games do not have my native resolution as an option (Counter Strike, Left 4 Dead). Highest available is the 2048x1152. Also suddenly there is no fullscreen option after the recent update? Setting%command% -w 2560 -h 1440 -fullscreen does nothing.
Man, I wish Valve would just enable VAC for Proton, I'm tired of all of that tinkering with their "native" titles.

Paradox Launcher won’t launch game with mods
I know how to play the game with playsets, all mods are installed correctly. But whenever I launch the game, it just starts regular old Ck3, EU4 etc…

Confusing microphone problems in CS2
Hi!
So I've been running into this weird problem lately. My teammates can't hear me in game (which is also evidenced by the little speaker icon appappearing, but not moving when I talk). However, when I go to either the steam microphone setting's test or CS2's "hear my own voice" option in the voice settings, I can hear myself perfectly fine.
I'm using a Scarlett solo v3 as an interface, which I guess might be part of the problem, but I honestly have no clue.

Your experiences
Few days ago I installed Pop!Os on my Laptop. Until now I like it - I still need to explore but I'm considering to install it to my gaming pc. Heard you can basically play every game except games with BattleEye/EasyAntiCheat - is it still that devs have to allow linux clients? If so is there a way to bypass that or do I have to make compromises? And how is it with CS2/ VAC in general?

Having issues with path of exile 1/2
Very new to Linux as I started in January, I can play pretty much any game however PoE both version will not open from being minimized. The game opens and launches but if the game is in full screen it doesn't allow me to alt tab or alt+enter and when I do it force minimizes I've tried. I'm currently running GE Proton 10.10 I've tried swapping to 10.14 as someone in the PoE community said it runs well. I've tried changing the SDL_VIDEO_MINIMIZE_ON_FOCUS_LOSS within the .profile. Not sure if that's needed but it did not fix the issue.
Needing help troubleshooting the issue I've tried as much as I can but hard to find anything on this issue. Thanks

180hz not working (Pop_OS!)
My notebook is a Dell G1 5530 (RTX 3050), I'm using a certified 2.1 HDMI from Ugreen and my monitor is the LG Ultragear 180hz 24".
I tried Pop!_OS, Bluefin OS and Linux Mint.
Only Linux Mint handled the 180hz without zero issues, but I really want to use Pop!_OS (and try Bazzite on the future). So anyone can help me with that issue?

Disk Write error while installing games on external SSD
If you ever wanted to install Steam games on an external SSD drive, there's high chance that it stops working while Reserving Space and shows error: Disk Write Error
There's a very simple solution for it. If you encounter this problem, you are using Flatpack version, install System Package version instead and the problem is solved.

Help with installing flatpak
Ok so as the title say I have some troubles installing flatpak on a debian based os. First at all I want to clarify that i'm a noob using linux, commands and all that stuff so asume I'm stupid when if you anwser me. Well the problem start when I have to do the sudo apt-get-gnome thing, it seems to be ok when I press enter but suddenly it start to show some error that say somethin like unable to find debian.192.01.823 (something like an IP) ans then a link So can someone help me please?
