First Month done!
So this is the longest I've now been on Linux on my main rig and laptop, windows free (except work) for 1 month!
I tried Linux out end of last year and it didn't workout so well, I hit a lot of issues and just gave up. I had to reinstall windows 11 recently and the pain it caused me just made me really want to get over the Linux troubleshooting hurdle so I put Ubuntu onto my gaming rig and started working through it all.
I found almost all my solutions in protonDB or buried on Reddit, games which just don't run and I have little desire to play I've removed from my library!
Games I'm currently playing:, Diablo 4 Civ 7 POE
Two if those are Linux native and run perfectly, diablo I had weird issues until I went for proton 8.05.
I want to have a full play through if baldurs gate 3 when patch 8 is released, I don't forsee any issues but I'm ready to tackle any that arise!
Hardware I'm full AMD, I also have a keychron Q8 and Logitech G309 , both can operate driverless(software less? Not sure on the right term here)
I've found my PC to be a lot quicker to boot and just general getting around feels so much nicer than it does in windows 11. I'm hoping I can hit a year and windows really will be a thing of the past, unless windows 12 is like windows 7... Then maybe they'll win be back!
Just wanted to share with the community :)

Epic says not enough SteamOS players to justify Fortnite on Linux, but is porting to Windows on ARM
(Linux Mint) TF2 Opens My Panel When Looking Down
Due to some bug with TF2, it's is only playable on Mint in windowed/borderless windowed mode. Unfortunately, due to another bug, TF2 isn't relaying that it's technically in fullscreen to my computer (borderless windowed works fine for other games). As such, because of how TF2 handles the player's mouse movements, looking down causes my panel to open.
Obviously, I don't want to set my panel to hidden every time I open the game. Is there a decent solution to this problem? I know it's rather specific, but if there's some way to at least automatically hide the panel when I open TF2, that would be really nice!

Is it possible to have a "normal kernel" and a "gaming kernel" that enables kernel level anticheat so competitive gaming on linux becomes possible
Isn't this possible? The way that linux systems can have multiple kernel versions installed so if one fails you can load another, can't this be used to have a "tainted kernel" used for gaming, and the regular, and you would boot to the one you need?

Mecha BREAK allows Steam Deck players, but bars Linux Desktop Players
This is my biggest fear for Linux gaming. Our only hope for anti-cheat the past few years has been that developers would want their games to work on the Steam Deck. However, it seems that ACE anti-cheat is showing exclusivity for Steam Deck rather than just allowing all Linux machines. Here's to hope that this doesn't become a trend...

WoW - Issues with DX11 and multiple monitors
I'm running WoW from heroic launcher with Wine-Ge-latest. I installed a third monitor to my setup, and every other game performs as usual, but in WoW I'm getting very low FPS when using DX11. When I swap to DX12 the lag is completely gone, but unfortunately I cant use DX12 in wow long term because it creates frequent disconnects from the game (for unknown reasons). If I disconnect the third monitor and restart WoW, it works normally again on DX11.
System info:
OS: Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon
Cinnamon Version: 6.4.8
Kernel: 6.8.0-55-generic
GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
Display server: X11

Is Honkers Railways Launcher still working?
So I want to download HSR on my Arch laptop, but HRL fails to download patch every time. What's wrong?
The issue happens when downloading a patch. It keeps popping up "Failed to download latest patch version" error

Rockstar launcher failed to initialize on mint
I'm trying to run GTA IV on Linux Mint via Steam, but I keep getting the message "Rockstar Games launcher failed to initialize." I have tried installing the Rockstar launcher via Lutris and from the official Rockstar site using Wine. The launcher works, but it doesn't recognize the game. I have also tried bypassing the launcher and downgrading the game, but nothing has worked. Any solutions?

Epic Games is addressing one of Windows-on-ARM's last big compatibility gaps
I'm hoping that whatever they have to do to allow ARM Windows to run their games will translate into Linux being able to run them again as well.

No man's sky multiplayer via GOG
I have seen people saying they're unable to see other players if they use the GOG version on linux. Are there any players around here that could confirm that? I know that's pretty short but I'm considering buying NMS and I always default to GOG if it's an option, however lack of multiplayer is a huge disadvantage. Thanks a lot

Help with troubleshooting?
when i use my monitors as an output device it works well, nothing to note there. When i want to use my headphones(plugged into the audio jack of my motherboard) however i suddenly have a problem. I originally thought there was no sound at all, but i realised that if i cranked up the volume to max i could hear crackling/staticy audio of whatever song i was playing. I have absolutely no idea how to fix this. If it's worth something the audio card on my motherboard is a Realtek ALC892.
Low fps in OW2, feels even lower than it is.When running the game in windows i used to have 130-140 fps, now it's more like 60-90fps but it feels even lower than that. I have no idea if this is because of the proton version i'm using (Proton 9.0-4) or what. Im also not sure why it feels even slower than 60-90fps.
I'm using linux Mint, I haven't tested a lot of games yet mostly because the audio issue is driving me insane. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
