I haven't touched any of my games on Lutris for a month or two, and after trying to play them, they all started having different issues. Either, they dont open, or they only display black. I've tried reinstalling these games on Lutris but that hasn't helped with anything. The only things I can think of why this would happen would be either windows defender complaining about the contents when I opened windows once, or a faulty nvidia driver update. I've been banging my head against a wall trying to fix this for a while but can't find a solution, I'd greatly appreciate it if someone found an answer to this.

I’m using Manjaro, and the DuckStation package has disappeared from the distro's store (and from the Flathub page). The latest build doesn’t include a Flatpak package either.

Are the developers no longer supporting it? Is there any news about this?

Hey all! I have a desktop computer running the latest version of Bazzite and it's my daily driver for gaming.

When I'm playing a game, I noticed whenever there's a loading screen, my pc seems to work itself pretty hard until it loads the assets; In which case everything settles down and things are quiet again.

I have a 9800X3D CPU, an RX 7900 XTX 24GB GPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2560x1440 Adaptive Sync Monitor 180hz.

Might someone know what could be the issue? Thanks!

I wanna make the full jump to Linux. The only thing keeping me is that I do a bunch of engineering dev on the same PC. What is a good distro that works well for gaming and lets me install everything I typically would on something like Ubuntu or Red Hat?

All games having lagging problem or delay with the keyboard

Hi, im new in linux and im struggling for some weeks now, because the majority of the games on my steam are having lag problems AND delay with the keyboard (example, im click the up arrow key and the character on the game still going, even if i let the arrow go the character still going) I honestly dont know what to do anymore

I have a really bad laptop which I got from school, but I don’t have anything else to game. I heard multiplayer games don’t usually work because of the anti cheat but there has to be a way around it right? Is it worth switching to Linux? And can I still play Minecraft?

When launching one game on linux (I'm on arch btw) by adding it to my steam library as a non-steam game and using proton, it launches but I'm greeted w/ the popup shown in the image. I click the ok button, then when it gets to the main menu it won't respond to any input, the cursor even doesn't show. How do I fix this issue?

It happens in every game. In power wash simulator that sound doesn't start at all for the first minute or so.

Help would be appreciated.

I installed this game two weeks ago, I played it a lot, today trying to open it it gives me this error. I don't understand I haven't changed anything. Any ideas?

On mint, played through the first boss just fine with controller. It then told me I had a cloud error, so I had to switch to running through proton, and now no matter what I do it won't see my controller. Steam sees it, but Hollow knight doesn't. Any ideas?

update turned steam input off per game and now it works? Still don't know why it worked for the first bit though

I am running fedora 42 (kde plasma) and had some problems with my old xbox controller and xone (which stopped working and then made my system go into kernel panic when I uninstalled and reinstalled xone), so I am searching for the most plug&play variant possible.

Hello people, I'm thinking about doing dual boot on my PC, I want to put bazzite in it, but I'm also starting to study programming, so I don't know if bazzite is a good option for that or if Ubuntu is better. You've also had a lot of problems with Windows 11, many screens freeze not only while playing but also doing other types of tasks, so I don't know if they recommend having Windows 11 and bazzite or Ubuntu or having just bazzite or having bazzite and Ubuntu, remembering that I need to program and I'm starting with that. So, this is likely a very dumb question but I'm really struggling as I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I've just installed Reshade in to FFXIV (non steam version) and I think it's installed correctly (I followed the instructions for installing Reshade with scripts provided by kevinlekiller). At the end it says I need to:

Run the game with this system variable set: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3dcompiler_47=n;dxgi=n,b"

Now, I actually don't know what this means nor how I would do this on a non-steam game. I tried running FFXIV without doing this step, but it comes up with errors of not compiling certain .fx files so I imagine this missing step is causing this. All advice is appreciated from this new Linux user.

I installed it from Flathub from the link on the official website and this happens. Running Fedora 42, Wayland (it happens on x11 too) Nvidia 580 drivers. I have had this problem since when I was using Ubuntu (gnome too).
