Discord Screensharing

24. Dezember 2025 - 01:21

Hey everyone,

I swapped over to Bazzite on my desktop, but have been some having issues with Discord screensharing. I normally share my browser on Discord to watch YouTube and movies with friends, but when I open up a game or some other application that plays audio, those watching the stream on Discord are not able to hear any stream audio anymore.

This happens on both the official and Canary flatpaks. I haven't tested on Vesktop yet as the office is shared with another person so I need push to talk on and wasn't sure how to get that working globally.

Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this?

Any free & lightweight games?

24. Dezember 2025 - 01:08

I just finished with the restoration of an old pc, it has really low specs like intel pentium dual core processor and runs on 4 gb of ram and 1gb vram, so i installed MX linux on it and i am looking to keep it for daily use and all. Are there any free video games that can run on this hardware?

PSA: If you are experiencing bugs recently.

24. Dezember 2025 - 01:01

If you have been experiencing bugs in games that previously did not happen then reverting to an earlier version of proton or using GE should fix the issue.

For some reason proton has started having known windows bugs in certain games in recent versions.

The bugs I have personally experienced have been mostly input related.

Is there a way to use 2.1 hdmi with AMD?

23. Dezember 2025 - 22:32

I really want to play on my big tv. It makes me sad that this doesn't seem to be possible. I have only read about issues with hdmi to displayport adapters.

Did anyone fix the problem somehow?

Does ram affect fps?

23. Dezember 2025 - 21:57

Planning on buying 8gb ddr4 ram for my laptop (yeah i know lol ddr3 is old asf), i already have 4gb so thats 12gb in total. I just want to know if increasing from 4 to 12gb will increase my fps in any way for games like csgo or tf2, i know it will reduce load times thats the main reason i want to get more ram.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

23. Dezember 2025 - 21:35

My PC has the following hardware:

CPU - i5-7400

GPU - GTX 1050Ti

RAM - 32 GB DDR$ 2400 MHz

Storage - Toshiba DT01ACA2002 TB SATA HDD

My distro is Bazzite. I am trying to run the game on Very Low, but still getting poor performance (framerate drops from 70+ outside of combat to just over 50 in combat and becomes choppy). I have tried Proton Experimental, GE, 8.0.5, and even 7.0 as suggested by someone else who posted here elsewhere. I could REALLY use some help with this. Thanks in advance.

Your luck with mini pcs and linux gaming

23. Dezember 2025 - 20:36

Around me there are some really good deals on mini amd pcs that are about 50 to 60 percent off(AMD processor and integrated amd graphics). I have only had nvidia stuff and know amd open source drivers work pretty good. Have any of you bought a mini pc and put linux on it for casual games? Did you have luck with it or was it not worth it in the end?

Wine game runs in X11 but doesnt on Wayland

23. Dezember 2025 - 20:22

So I am running Artix trying to run a game through Wine but I keep getting errors when loading libEGL, when I run eglinfo | grep libEGL I get the following errors:

libEGL warning: pci id for fd 26: 10de:2803, driver (null)

pci id for fd 30: 10de:2803, driver (null)
pci id for fd 31: 10de:2803, driver (null)

libEGL warning: pci id for fd 26: 10de:2803, driver (null)

libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen
libEGL warning: pci id for fd 26: 10de:2803, driver (null)

The weird part is that if I switch to X11 the game starts normally without any issues.

These are the wine logs on Wayland, showing the same error as before:

0124:fixme:system:EnableNonClientDpiScaling (0001005C): stub

0124:err:seh:NtRaiseException Unhandled exception code c0000409 flags 1 addr 0x62ed25

I tried installing egl-wayland from aur but didnt work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cyberpunk 2077 mods not loading on Linux – RED4ext / Redscript errors

23. Dezember 2025 - 20:10

Hello everyone,

I’m having multiple issues trying to play Cyberpunk 2077 with mods on Linux.

REDmod works perfectly, but it’s the only one that does.

When I launch Cyberpunk, I get the following errors:

  • No access to memory location S:\common\cyberpunk 2077\red4ext\RED4ext.dll
  • RED4ext could not be loaded

Then Redscript crashes with:

  • Redscript compilation has failed. This error has been caused by the mods listed below
  • The list contains 100+ mods

Important details:

  • All mods are to be fully compatible since they come from a Nexus collection: Night City Reborn 2.31
  • I am not using Proton
  • I launch the game with: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command% (set in the Steam launch options)
  • I’m using Nexus Mod App, which officially supports Cyberpunk 2077 and they claims it work on Linux
  • Fedora (Nobara OS)

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with RED4ext / Redscript on Linux, especially with large Nexus collection. The collection contains 681 mods, so I'm not going to install everything manually aha

LMU - Le Mans Ultimate - Online racing won’t work on Linux

23. Dezember 2025 - 20:07

I have Pop!OS 22.04 - I just did an online race in LMU, all went fine. I tried to join the next one and it fails every time with an error “Y have been booted: Anti-cheat client protection not active (NullClient) Connection lost”

Ive restarted the game, the machine, still can’t join the same session.
Anyone else experienced this?

Restarting the game before joining a second race it’s my hope to fix it - I’ll try that next.

A solution to Fedora 43, 32bit libraries', MangoHUD / Goverlay / Gamescope issue.

23. Dezember 2025 - 19:26
Long story short: I miss Windows 7. Command below image...

I don't understand these intricacies with magic spells as much as I have no idea what a .exe is or does, but stuff is easier on Windows (or at least was; I've used W since Wxp when I was a kid, 7 through my early teens, and 10 since 2015; I hate 11 on many levels, but mainly that it's not humae anymore. I have been using Fedora KDE since the death of 38, 2 years ago).

The average Linux user, after 20 years of practice, risking its life to install Discord.

Here's what I did in my Fedora KDE install:

sudo dnf install mangohud.i686

This has worked for me, here and now, but I can't assure anyone that this will work for you too.

One thing that I KNOW is that by Fedora 44 there will be MORE problems...

One example is me being unable to even launch Left 4 Dead under Proton if it wasn't "Hotfix" (details to the wind, I don't care right now, I am too busy. I just want my PC to work).

Help me to choose

23. Dezember 2025 - 19:01

Hi everyone,

I’m deciding between two business laptops and would like advice focused on Linux compatibility and stability.

Option 1 – Dell Latitude 14 Pro

Intel Core Ultra 7 255U (Meteor Lake)

24 GB DDR5 RAM

512 GB NVMe SSD

14" FHD+ display

Option 2 – Lenovo Thinkpad

AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U

Radeon 780M graphics

32 GB DDR5 RAM

NVMe SSD

Touchscreen display

Option 3 - Ideapad 2-1

AMD Ryzen 7 AI 350

Radeon 860M graphics

16 GB DDR5 RAM

Both would run Linux (Ubuntu/Fedora/Arch).

Questions:

Which platform has better Linux support right now: Intel Core Ultra or Ryzen 7 PRO?

Any known issues with drivers, suspend, power management, or firmware?

Which would you choose for long-term Linux use?

Thanks for your help.
