Wine windows that should be hidden - question
Hey!
I've a question about these little windows (top-left corner) that appears when a program / app is running under wine / proton. I know that in KDE they are hidden but this is not working in GNOME, I've tried to set env vars in lutris but it's still there, anyone had a luck with hiding them? I am running Fedora on GNOME49.
Thanks!

Steam not recognizing my secondary hard drive
I'm on arch and would like to install my games on a secondary HDD. I've done this before but this time it is not recognizing my HDD, I mounted it to my /home/user/Games directory in my fstab. Upon checking, it is mounted correctly to that directory but when I try to add the path to steam for some reason it does not get added.
My HDD fstype is ext4 that usually worked previously so I don't think that should be the issue.

Running CachyOS.

Play CS Source without Proton can make your PC Overheat?
So, i played CS Source in NTFS partition for year, and played it without any proton at all. It was fine untill something happened. So, somehow i played CS Source in community servers and my screen turned into blank white screen after the server want to change the map. The problem only solved with hard reset and power supply reset. so i want to know what was happening, tried to move the game into Ext4, and the problem showed up. When you play the "NTFS version" of the game, idk how, but the CPU will reach into 72° C even if you set all graphic settings into LOW. I assume Linux is confuse when convert the program code runs on the machine.
Download size CS Source without proton : 3.2 GB
Download size CS Source with proton : 2.5 GB

Can Anyone Install Dark Souls Remastered Mods on Linux?
I'm trying to play Dark Souls Remastered on Arch Linux. I'm using Proton 9.
I'm trying to install a texture/graphics overhaul mod, which requires me to simply drag and drop the mod files into my game's installation directory. After copying over the files, the game does not launch. When I remove the files, the game launches just fine.
Has anyone had any success with installing graphics mods for this game? Thanks.

I made a CLI launcher for managing multiple GZDoom instances on Linux
I saw a lack of variety in instanced Doom launchers on Linux, as most are developed with only Windows in mind.
So I thought I'd make things easier by making the Sulphur core library, which provides instance management and a new package format to easily share Doom instances - which is really just a fancily named zip file with the instance's files and metadata.
It also is kind of opinionated, as all instances of all launchers using the library are saved in the same Sulphur folder, so if you switch from different front-ends you still end up with the same instances (and hopefully also same settings).
Based on my Sulphur core library, i then decided to make an implementation myself to see how easy/hard it was to work with my own library, and I can say I was pretty satisfied with the result, which is Sulphur CLI.
Both are functional, but still pretty work in progress. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this project!
