Hi everyone,

I'm a new Linux user, having switched to CachyOS about two weeks ago. I'm having a great time, and everything has worked flawlessly until now.

I'm trying to mod my Bethesda games on Steam (specifically Oblivion, Skyrim SE, and Starfield), but I'm struggling. I'm used to the simplicity of Vortex on Windows and was hoping for a similar experience.

I tried using Steam Tinker Launcher, but I couldn't get it to work for Oblivion. It wouldn't even open Vortex or Mod Organizer 2. I also heard about a tool called Limo, but I downloaded it and couldn't understand how to use it.

Could anyone point me to an easy way to mod these games on Linux? Or perhaps recommend a good, up-to-date tutorial for setting up a mod manager?

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share a quick fix for anyone struggling to get DualSense haptics feedback working on Arch Linux. I was having issues where the controller worked, but the adaptive triggers and haptics weren’t working up in supported games. What worked for me was: open winecfg, go to the Staging tab, and enable EAX support.

This worked using:

• Arch Linux (Kernel 6.15)
• KDE 6.4
• pronton-ge 10-7
• Dualsense connected via USB

So far it did the trick on the 2 games i tested, Allan wake 2 and Death Stranding.

I'm running CachyOS with an RTX 2080 Ti, Wayland using KWin and I have HDR enabled. When I run Diablo 4, if I alt+tab either out of game or back into it my Plasma session will crash, taking all running apps with it. Sometimes I will see a TTY window with @_@ or something similar on the screen before Plasma restarts, but not always.

I'm running the Steam version of DIablo 4 with the following options:

PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 VKD3D_DISABLE_EXTENSIONS=VK_KHR_present_wait game-performance %command%

Has anyone experienced this before, or know how to fix it? Any other needed info, just let me know and I'll provide it.

Hey yall, should quickly mention that the game does launch under the latest Proton version but I need the older proton versions to use DXVK. Reason being that my pc is quite old so doesnt support all the latest vulkan feature and anything above 7.1+ and also I'm having loading issues with the game when entering combat where the game takes a couple of seconds to load the combat segments after a cutscene or dialogue.

Anyways when launcing P5X, the game wouldn't launch with the error message "Please launch the game from the Steam platform"

If anyone wants to trial this and give feed back, it should display the version of fsr your running Inc the fp8 hack from rDNA 3 cards running fsr4. There has been alot of people asking how can I tell if it's running fsr 4 well hopefully I have athe solution https://github.com/Ripplingsnake12/Fsr-version-overlay/tree/main

Hello. Around a month ago I have fully switched to linux on my desktop (which has 1070) and everything worked perfectly, but I have an old laptop (2nd gen I5, gt 525m and 8gb ram) running windows 10 that I use from time to time, mainly to do some office or browse the internet and sometime when I'm away from my desktop play warframe on it. The game runs fine on the lowest settings. My question is: if I switch it to arch how can I play warframe on this card which doesn't support vulkan? I've read online about proton sarek but decided to come here for info before I spend the time with the laptop.

Hi all! Over the course of a couple of years I gathered together links to cool PC ports, decompilations, mods and other things suggested by visitors to various subs, mainly r/SteamDeck. After a while the list became too much to maintain here on Reddit, so I put together this little site. I usually throw up a monthly update over on r/SteamDeck and the mods here have told me it's fine to do the same here.

Since the last post, I've added images to go with each link to make it a bit more visually appealing and also make it a little easier to navigate.

I have also added a new section for English translation patches for people who want to try games they otherwise couldn't.

There's been a couple of cool additions to the pile in June as well, not least the native PC port of Mario Kart 64. Looking forward to seeing what mods come along for that down the line.

If anyone has any suggestions for any of the categories they would like to see added, please let me know in the comments!

So Ubuntu perform well and yeah in this title we achieved 41 fps and it was playable and i didn't notice any input lag also frametime wasn't that bad!

Hello I use Bazzite.

all games on the picture will n't launch except for "Nunholy" which acually support Linux. So I think the probelm is with Proton? I tried Proton 9, expermintal, Hotfix.. but all the same the games will not launch...

Title is the main question.

I am interested in trying to sandbox my games, as many games older games eventually stop getting updates and could thus have security vulnerabilities.

I may look into something like firejail at some point, but in the short term it seems easier to just install and run my games as a separate (non-sudo) user. So my question is - how effective is this strategy to sandbox games and isolate them from my private files (e.g., compared to other solutions like firejail). Also, would it open up security vulnerabilities if I opened up the x server on my own user and allowed the games (run by a separate user) to connect?

I know for steam games many recommend just using the flatpak - but I have 2 reasons I'd rather not. First, not everything can easily be found in flatpaks (e.g., plutonium). Second, I've been dabbling in NixOS and it would be nice to use native system packages so that I can continue to install things mostly declaratively.

greetins r/linux_gaming, i come here to ask for help fixing an issue i have had for a while now, when playing video games on steam and using proton (specifically proton hotfix) some keyboard keys are broken, most notably the key 2 (or é) does not work, i am on an AZERTY keyboard and the fixes i looked around online were not working, i would like to know if anyone has a fix or any recomendations to solve this issue, thank you for your help!

I was trying to install Lies of P on my fedora 42 on lutris using wine but there is an isdone.dll error while unpacking/installation of the game.

any solution on how go to solve this Please help.
