Asus armoury crate in linux for TUF F15 (rtx 3050)
I read through reddit but most of the answers were regarding ROG not TUF.
I am switching my os to Linux fully so is there any app that can fulfill my need and also support TUF F15.
And no openrgb doesn't have TUF F15 in their list

Problems installing Steam on Linux Mint
(First of all, please excuse any spelling or typos I made while writing this, I'm translating this using Google Translate)
Hi, here's the thing. Yesterday I finally decided to install a Linux operating system (Linux Mint). Beyond what I thought of the operating system, I ran into a problem when installing Steam (image attached). I searched several sites and didn't really find a solution or at least anyone who had experienced this. If anyone could tell me how I can fix this I would appreciate it.
Have a nice day

Black Mesa: 'Resonance Decade' update arrives with tons of Linux fixes!
Been playing the game for some hours on native mode, everything maxed out and the game runs fine.
No more crashes or visual artifacts. Just with there was a way to use dxvk-native on linux like on other source games though...
Overall, pretty nice update game went from unplayable on native to a pretty nice experience!

Is League of Legends really dead on Linux?
I know after the vanguard update it is impossible to play via lutris, but I was thinking of buying a cheap RX 580 I found on my local used marketplace, in order to gpu passthrough mac os where there isn't vanguard. Is anyone using this method or even is it possible? Any answers will be heavily appreciated :D

Doom the dark ages going to black screen when opened.
I pre ordered the premium edition of Doom the dark ages a while back, when I tried to open it yesterday on the launch date, the game would always do a 70.2 mb update and then it would open and load, but then go to a black screen with a visible cursor and I could hear the music, but I couldn't do anything. At first I figured my files were corrupt because I had a similar problem with Doom eternal before, so I re-downloaded all of the files. It didn't work with Dark ages, it no longer tries to download the update repeatedly, but still gets stuck on the black screen as before. Was wondering If this was a Microsoft not prioritizing linux optimization problem or if there is something that I am doing wrong on my end(I tried using both proton experimental and hotfix to open this.) Was wondering If there was anybody else here who pre ordered dark ages and got the same problems, if this is a commonly occurring problem with games like Dark ages, or whatever I am missing.

Having trouble with Heroic Launcher and Cyberpunk.
Just recently I changed distros to mint. I installed the flatpak heroic launcher from the software manager and installed cyberpunk through that, however I have since been met with a number of system crashes and errors. The most notable is the inability to save game with the save failed error appearing anytime I try to do so. The attached images have appeared during these crashes. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Installing bleeding-edge mesa on Fedora
Hey friends!
I've recently moved from Arch to Fedora because I felt pretty worn out by the ever changing landscape. I was looking for a more stable and "slow" environment, if you will.
The only thing I was curious about is AMD drivers. As I'm using an RX 9070 XT, I really want to be on the bleeding edge for driver updates. As Fedora 42 currently ships with mesa 24.0.4, I was missing some significant changes in Mesa, specifically for the new 9000 series Radeon cards.
This morning I decided to see if I would be able to build the latest drivers myself and install them. In the end I succeeded. And especially with the changes to RADV that were merged recently I had a gigantic performance improvement in games that utilize ray tracing.
For example; playing Until Dawn on 1440p with ray tracing enabled, I would sit somewhere around 55-65 FPS on average. Now, with the latest version of mesa I more comfortably hit ~90FPS with RT enabled.
To share with a friend of mine what I've done to make this work, I decided to write him a guide. But I would be amiss to not share it with this community. So here you go!

How many times have you changed distribution? How many times you just had to take a break from running through configuration process?
I'm currently fighting with CachyOS and Heroic/Wine/Proton issues.. None of games I managed to install work (I have shitty connection on that device, so it works, but games in more than 2GB takes hours to download if they won't crash 🤣) and it's again issue with it.. Same problems had on Windows 10.. I mean, it's old rig that remembers first decade, so I don't expect miracles, but.. At this moment I decided to just put it away for some time. You all have same issue?

Skyrim modding and Vortex
Thinking about switching from windows 11, but the only game I play is Skyrim with mods using Vortex and I am not sure it will work OK on linux.
What are the obstacles I may encounter? It is a good experience overall? 100% replicable or some things don’t work?
Thank you for your attention to a noob! _^

How to use FSR 4 and Optiscaler ?
Hi
I am on Fedora 42 KDE
I Have the RX 9070XT and a 4k screen
I run all my games through Steam Flatpak version
I want to enable FSR4 in Diablo 4 (I know its shit, but want to play it at least once)
Diablo only supports FSR2 and DLSS
I have read that with optiscaler you can enable FSR 4 in titles that do not support it
So where do I download Optiscaler (it is not in the discover store) ?
How do I install optiscaler ?
How do I enable Optiscaler for Diablo 4 ?
thanks

Configuration for pirated games/Epic/other sources with Heroic Game Launcher
I am running Fedora 42 Gnome, my specs are 5600x,3070ti,32gb, I have a D drive where i have all my games installed from Windows, some pirated, some form Epic, some from Steam.
I installed Wine, then Heroic, then GE-PROTON, here are my issues:
- For the Pirated games, they run fine but the only thing is the saves from Windows do not appear, is there a way to make them recognize them or do i need to copy paste them from the Windows C Drive?
- I also got this for GOT pirated, but the driver is 570.144-1 so I am not sure where that is coming from, is it safe to ignore it?
- For RDR2, I have it from Epic, already installed, tried this[1], and adding the launcher first and possibly launching the game from there, but the game is not recognized and Epic Online Update service can't be installed. The first time i tried to add it as a game, not from the library, Rockstar game launcher was installed but the game did not appear as owned, then after trying the before method[1] it only outputs this:
- I am not sure how to fix it, I do not want to install them again as I would not have the necessary space, would not like to go through that process again! Any help is appreciated since I have not found how to to do this via newer resources, all youtube videos i found date back to 2023, tried to follow this one, if there is a better easier way please let me know, i am a total noob but really wanted to get gaming working so i can move to linux fully. Thanks!!!

Tips for making Linux my main OS?
Hello everyone, I've always been on and off on different distros (PopOS!, Linux Mint, Ubuntu) but Ive never seem to get a good stable state on any of those OS's and even more so on gaming side.
So I would like any tips and tricks and thinks to notice so we can gather resources on this post so we can help someone (like me as well) to have a stable OS experience (without weird lags) and a stable gaming machine without having to use a VM with windows installation in it so you can just play some games.
If any one of you have any good tips please post them below.
For starters a really good guide to start off with Linux Mint is the one below:

180hz monitor did not work in 180hz
Currently i have a 180hz monitor, when i set at 60hz it seems like it truly work on 60hz but when i change it to 180hz it look even worst than 60hz. Are there anyone that have the same problem with me. I have window running parallel and it still work wells with 180hz so i think it is not the problem from hardware or cable.

Switch?
I haven't really used Linux in years, but ran a dual boot Ubuntu/Windows 7 in college. Didn't really use a PC for much of anything for a long time. Over the past year or two though, that has changed some. I've started doing a decent bit of programming for data process automation for work and enjoy learning coding; as well as I've made the transition from console gamer to PC after purchasing a gaming laptop after my XBox One died.
I went with Windows for both simplicity and compatibility and have Windows 11; but after looking online it doesn't seem that Linux has nearly the compatibility issues with gaming that it did ten years ago when I ran Ubuntu given the efforts Steam has made. I'm considering trying out a Linux system again as an all-in-one for a gaming, coding, and practical-use machine. I mostly play RPGs and strategy games as opposed to a lot of the more popular multiplayer Royale games that seem to be the major compatibility issues. Civ 7 and Assassin's Creed Shadows being the most recent two. As for coding; I'm currently partial to python; but wouldn't mind expanding my JavaScript or C++ knowledge with the right project.
Wanted to get your thoughts before jumping the gun? I'm considering going with Pop OS for specific distro due to better compatibility with NVIDIA graphics hardware (My laptop runs a GeoForce RTX off the top of my head). Would it be worth my time? Will my save data carry over? Would it be worth setting up dual boot; and if so how would you recommend partitioning with a gaming PC? Last time I dual booted I had a central partition for shared files like documents and pictures.
Open to whatever feedback y'all have.

Steam creating .desktop files as executable
Hi! I just found that on NixOS, the .desktop files (located in ~/.local/share/applications) that are created by Steam have executable permissions -- permission rwxr-xr-x. Can anyone check if this happens in their distro of choice? I want to see if this is a thing overall or just for some reason a NixOS only thing.

Best mod manager for Oblivion: RE?
Title. I seem to understand Vortex doesn't work on Linux? What about through Distrobox/Windows VM? I would really like access to official Nexus mod collections and publish my own perhaps.
But if that is just impossible, what third party mod manager is considered the go to for modding such games/Oblivion:RE in particular?
I'm about to switch from Mint to CachyOS for driver reasons and will probably set up Distrobox with BoxBuddy. Using 2 M2 SSDs in my laptop, one for system and one for games/recordings & python boxes.
