OpenRGB: RGB lighting control released in version 1.1

OpenRGB has been released in version 1.1.

OpenRGB is an open-source tool for controlling RGB lighting that doesn’t rely on manufacturer software - often Windows-only.

This bugfix release fixes several issues from version 1.0, including bugs in the SDK server, the command line interface and the hotplug behavior of some devices. On Linux, the .deb and .rpm packages now depend on hidapi-hotplug.

This is a bugfix release meant to address several issues found in the 1.0 release.

  • Fix an issue with the “Do not show again” checkbox not saving
  • Fix an issue with the OpenRGB SDK server not replying to the plugin list request in headless mode
  • Fix an issue with the OpenRGB SDK server device indices on protocol versions < 6
  • Fix several issues with the command line interface regarding resizing, profile loading, and applying settings to devices
  • Device-specific improvements on several device controllers to improve hotplug behavior and fix potential deadlocks

On Windows, you will need to install https://pawnio.eu for OpenRGB to access RAM, older motherboards, and certain other devices. You must also run as Administrator or install with the background service option for PawnIO to be able to access these devices.

On Linux, if you use the .deb or .rpm packages, they now depend on a fork of hidapi called hidapi-hotplug. You can download the hidapi-hotplug packages from here:
