OpenLogi has been released in version v0.8.19.
OpenLogi is a native, locally running alternative to Logitech Options+, written in Rust, letting you configure key bindings, DPI and SmartShift for Logitech devices over HID++ - without an account or telemetry.
The update follows version v0.8.18. New are, among other things, recordable custom shortcuts, actions to open applications and folders and to run shell commands, an AUR package for Linux and several Linux fixes (Hyprland, GNOME, /dev/uinput).
Changes in version v0.8.19 (summary):
- Desktop app: selected pills show an accent border, custom shortcuts can be recorded from a key press, open-application/folder and run-shell-command actions added to key and mouse button pickers, camera preview scales with the interface, camera controls are read off the UI thread, clearing bindings restores native keyboard controls, German translation leftovers fixed
- Shortcuts: Insert, Print Screen and keycap abbreviations are accepted
- Agent: mouse capture recovers after Bluetooth and Bolt switches, a panicked session task no longer stops capture, Smart Shift thresholds below the floor are corrected before saving, focused X11 windows follow WM_CLASS changes, diverted keyboard keys change in place on app switch, performance work in the button worker
- Linux: Hyprland desktop switches retry with the Lua dispatcher, actions ring placement is stabilized during GNOME animations, the input access probe requires read/write access to /dev/uinput
- macOS: held modifiers preserved on re-posted media keys, menu-bar toggle applies without restart, relaunch successor kept out of the agent’s process group
- Windows: console flashes from RunShellCommand suppressed, Actions Ring no longer takes the foreground, overlay runs without AccessKit so closed windows are freed
- Inject: space switching works on a mirrored display set
- CLI:
diag batteryreads the 0x1001 battery voltage- Docs: scroll resolution with smooth wheel explained, AUR package for Linux added
