OpenLogi: open-source alternative to Logitech Options+ released in version v0.8.17

OpenLogi has been released in version v0.8.17.

OpenLogi is a native, locally running alternative to Logitech Options+, written in Rust, letting you configure key bindings, DPI and SmartShift for Logitech devices over HID++ - without an account or telemetry.

The update directly follows version v0.8.16. On Linux it brings a fix for mouse input access probe counting, a beta update channel in the desktop app and recognition of the Logitech G600 as a standalone mouse.

Changes in version v0.8.17:

The release includes 16 merged pull requests:

  • move the update feed layout into openlogi-core
  • release channel and version detection from tags
  • move configuration files out of the repository root
  • Linux: fix mouse input access probe counting
  • HID: fix Bolt slot name reading and long-only collection handling
  • macOS: preserve integer wheel ticks, support Space switching via user shortcuts
  • desktop: add beta update channel support
  • 1Password: fix Codex field loading and note fallback surfacing
  • recognize Logitech G600 as a standalone mouse
  • GUI: preserve long-press action when editing button actions
  • virtual HID keyboard now reports the keys it can carry
