Arctis Sound Manager has been released in version 1.5.1.
The tool manages audio settings for SteelSeries Arctis headsets on Linux, including microphone EQ, filter chains and the screen display on the GameDAC. Version 1.5.0 had been released recently.
Version 1.5.1 adds a mic card to the Channels page with volume control and microphone selection. Cards can be hidden, and profiles remember the selection. Also fixed: headset detection after quitting ASM on SteamOS/Bazzite and missing sound with Spatial Audio on some SteamOS systems.
Added
- “Mic card on the Channels page” enabling volume control, microphone selection, and recording app visibility
- Channel cards now display their output device names without opening the picker
- Ability to hide any card (Mic, Master, Game, Chat, Media, Aux, Output) from the Channels menu
- Profiles now remember and restore which cards are displayed
- Mic color customization in the theme editor
Changed
- Removed the “Enable Game/Chat Volume Sliders” switch and “Bring audio to headset” button from Channels page
- Cards now fit laptop screens with all seven displayed; long names truncated with ellipsis
Fixed
- Headset detection issue after quitting ASM on SteamOS/Bazzite
- No sound with Spatial Audio on some SteamOS systems due to PipeWire message misinterpretation
- Theme editor labeling displaying “Aux channel” twice (corrected to Media and Output)
