Arctis Sound Manager has been released in version 1.4.33, shortly after version 1.4.32.
The update fixes a connectivity issue: when a headset stopped answering commands, ASM used to reset its USB connection after every failed initialisation, causing it to keep dropping and reconnecting and interrupting audio playback. Now the reset is only attempted once; if it fails, the device stays connected and ASM just logs that a physical replug or power cycle is needed.
When a headset stopped answering commands, ASM reset its USB connection after every failed initialisation, so it kept dropping and reconnecting, interrupting audio.
Fix: rather than repeatedly attempting USB resets, the application now tries this procedure only once. If the initial reset fails to resolve the problem, the device remains connected while logging that it requires a physical replug or power cycle. (#299)
