Vermouth launcher: version 2.3.0 released

Vermouth has been released in version v2.3.0 “Scrolls and logs”.

After the sandbox escape patch in version 2.2.1, the update adds an optional scroll bar for the game grid and a new live log window for launched games. It also fixes several bugs, including the grid jumping back to the top when hiding or unhiding games.

New

  • Grid scroll bar: a new “Show scroll bar” option in the View menu and in Settings under Appearance (closes #82)
  • Live game logs: a new “Game Logs” window in the sidebar shows real-time output from games launched with logging, with a session picker and Copy, Clear, and Open folder buttons (closes #76)

Fixed

  • Hiding or unhiding a game no longer sends the grid back to the top (fixes #83)
  • The default Proton selection now consistently follows the Settings choice
  • Game editing now targets by ID rather than grid position to prevent errors during re-sorting
  • Play time no longer updates when editing a currently running game
  • Grid re-sorts when a game’s last played time changes, if sorted by Last Played
