Vermouth has been released in version v2.2.1.
Shortly after the theme switcher in version 2.2.0, “Sandbox escape” fixes multi-process launcher functionality under Flatpak: Battle.net, EA App, Epic Games Launcher, Ubisoft Connect, Amazon Games, Rockstar Games Launcher, and Wargaming Game Center now run better, since Proton no longer forces its Wayland driver everywhere and instead uses X11/XWayland where tested.
This patch addresses multi-process launcher functionality under Flatpak. Key improvements include:
- Battle.net (and EA App, Epic Games Launcher, Ubisoft Connect, Amazon Games, Rockstar Games, Wargaming Game Center) now run better under Flatpak
- Launchers no longer force Proton’s Wayland driver, instead using X11/XWayland where tested
- Each preset installer now executes documented silent-install flags (–installpath/–lang for Battle.net, /S for EA and Ubisoft, /SILENT for Wargaming)
- Epic Games Launcher installer corrected to run through msiexec rather than direct execution
- Flatpak manifest now requests –talk-name=org.kde.StatusNotifierWatcher, fixing the missing KDE status bar/tray integration
