3D Controller Overlay + (kurz 3dco+) wurde in der Version v1.4.2 veröffentlicht.
Nach Version 1.4.0 und 1.4.1, die unter anderem das “What’s New”-Fenster und Netzwerk-Fixes brachten, kümmert sich dieses Update um den Einstieg für neue Nutzer und um das Linux-AppImage. Wer die App frisch installiert, sieht im Settings-Fenster nun einen erklärenden Hinweis samt “Create Controller”-Button, statt vor einer leeren Oberfläche zu stehen. Das AppImage wurde zudem mit dem aktuellen appimagetool und statisch gelinktem Runtime neu gebaut, wodurch die Abhängigkeit von libfuse2 entfällt - wichtig für neuere Distributionen wie Ubuntu 24.04+, die die Bibliothek nicht mehr mitbringen.

First-Launch Improvements: The Settings window now displays a “No controllers created yet” panel on fresh installations. This explanatory screen guides new users to create their first controller and unpack bundled models, featuring a dedicated “Create Controller” button for convenience.
Linux AppImage Modernization: The AppImage was rebuilt using the current
appimagetoolwith a statically linked runtime, replacing the deprecated AppImageKit. This change eliminates thelibfuse2dependency, making the application compatible with newer Linux distributions (Ubuntu 24.04+) that don’t include this library by default.
