Sober randomly closing without error message
I have encountered the problem that Sober randomly closes itself when opening a game and getting past any menus. As far as I can tell this is somewhat game debendant. The game I'm currently having issues with did not have these before. I have also noted no crash reports, the game just randomly closes itself and as far as I can tell when I rejoin the game I'm still in the same server as before, unlike when I regularly close out of a game. I'm currently using linux mint 22.1
Does anyone know what might cause these random closings and how to stop them?

Bazzite | Gaming and Everyday System?
I'm still new to all of this and doing some research. I've heard that Bazzite is a good OS for gaming, but I wanted to ask the community: how well does it handle streaming with OBS, everyday tasks like homework, and installing other software? Is it a good all-around OS or mostly focused on gaming?

Is there any reason why Proton can't be updated to support UWP apps so Game Pass could work on Linux?
The lack of Game Pass has always been a weak spot of Linux but couldn't Proton translate UWP to Linux to get Game Pass working? Is there a reason Valve haven't gone this?

WoW on Linux Fedora42
Hello everyone. I have a question regarding battle.net launcher on Fedora 42 using Steam, Lutris,...
I have Acer Swift X with AMD Ryzen 5825U and Ge Force RTX and before on Windows battle.net was running perfectly.
Now its pain in the ass. I want to play World of Warcraft, but I have 3 main problems:
- My battle.net launcher is really weird. It´s small window and its glitching so its very hard to login and i dont know why - because i saw other Linux users having it perfectly normal. I was using mostly proton GE, proton experimental, or the newest one - every option is the same. Even when running it on Lutris.
- Once I finally installed WoW Mists of Pandaria through the terrible process of trying to click on the glitching launcher - the game will launch but every time the settings of the game will reset and its in ugly windowed mode, and graphics change. I dont know why. Is there a way to stabilise it?
- My mouse in-game is not working normally. In World of Warcraft you walk with WASD and you are using your right mouse to look around, but when i click and hold my right mouse to rotate the camera, the mouse cursor is invisible (which is right) but it moves and it should stay on one place and then appear again. I tried every console command in-game - like rawMouseEnable 1, 0 and others - but its still not working.
I really want to play casually, but this process is really annoying. Is anyone having similar difficulties? What should I do? Get back to Windows? :D

Capture card for Game Recording and Streaming (dual PC setup or PC & PS5)
So, I currently own a mid-range laptop that I use for gaming mostly. I have an older desktop that should be capable of recording and streaming.
For that, I need a capture card. My Razer Ripsaw HD doesn't seem to be compatible with linux, so I need something else. So here comes my question: which one should I get. I was up to getting a used Elgato HDX or S+, but then saw people recommending Ugreen ones.
I need the card to passthrough, i.e., I want to game on the main laptop and have the image just be mirrored and recorded on a second computer. Are ugreen cards, like this one a bad idea? I have Ugreen products that are pretty amazing. But at the same time, it seems "too cheap to be good".

Issues with Half Life 2 using Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Hey, I've dabbled in Linux before but for one reason or another I'm making a conscious effort to move away from Microsoft products.
I've noticed in Half-Life 2 that the internal render resolution seems really low for anything other than the player viewmodel (i.e. the pistol in my hand.)
Resolution set to 5120x1440 (Native) @ 240Hz, with 8xMSAA in-game
Same thing - notice that the aliasing doesn't exist around the weapon model
In addition, there seems to be some sort of strange reflection in the top left corner. Basically, a phantom duplicate of the entire render window, that changes as my own movements change. It's hard to illustrate but stands out most on darker backgrounds.
I have left Steam to use whatever the default Proton version for Half-Life 2 is, and the issue is not replicated in Black Mesa (another Source engine game).
Any help is super appreciated,
Thanks!
