Oblivion remastered is not working
I have the game on Steam, and I'm using opensuse TW. The game starts and crashes. I've lucked at the files log, but without any information about the failure itself. It was working a few weeks ago.

Got SteamVR running
I use endevouros with hyprland running on an amd gpu with amdvlk.
SteamVR does not want to run natively nor in proton.
I was prepared that there might be issues and defaulted to ALVR which is fully supported on my HTC Vive XR Elite through the usb cable and wireless.
I got two questions:
- Is there any chance that SteamVR could run natively or is Wayland just not supported?
- Are there performance or stability benefits to using mesa drivers instead of amdvlk?

(RACINGSIMULATION-INPUT DEVICES) Thrustmaster tlcm pedals With Boxflat Moza Software.
Can anyone tell me the most logical way to connect these two devices . Would figuring out the cable termination and making a cable from Tlcm to moza Hardware be worth doing (OR) Running a Virtual joystick software of some sort for the pedals and just leaving box flat alone. So far i can only get input values from pedals with box flat and jstest-gtk running. Pedal has usb out and rj11 connector? (proprietary clip) no on board software as its meant to connect to wheel. Also functions on its own in windows. Is there an easy way to connect these without writing code?

Hell Is Us Demo | CachyOS | 1080p and 900p | Radeon 890M + Optimax Mod
I am testing Hell Is Us Demo on CachyOS at 1080p and 900p with FSR Balanced and Frame Gen. This demo runs out of the box; however, the performance is terrible. I had to use Optimax's Mod to get a 60ish fps on 1080p. 900p 60 is doable with a minipc like in this video. The game, in my opinion, needs a lot of optimisation, because out of the box, it runs poorly and doesn't look particularly impressive.

AMD Radeon 7600 weird behaviour
I've got an AMD Radeon RX 7600 in my main system, and for the first few months it worked fine, as expected. Ever since a couple months back I started noticing some weird behaviour: coil wining, performance drop and sometime complete freeze. I'm unable to play any game for more than half an hour, after which FPS go drastically down and unstable, worth to mention that the rest of the system, and any other application, works as it should.
Is this some kind of driver issue? Or is it sign of a failing GPU?
I mention that the main purpose of this computer is programming, gaming is occasional.
Computer specs:
Debian 13
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
AMD Radeon RX 7600
64GB Crucial DDR5-5600
Cricual T500 2TB NVMe SSD
Asus Tuf B650

How's XFS for gaming nowadays?
I've heard that there could be issues with 32-bit applications due to something about inodes, I have no idea if that's true though.

Has Rocket League stopped working on Linux forever?
Tried to play RL for the first time on Linux with steam, using proton, but the game won’t connect to the online servers after launching, and the GUI even looks like old seasons.
In the official RL website (https://www.epicgames.com/help/pt-BR/c-Category_RocketLeague/c-RocketLeague_TechnicalSupport/suporte-do-rocket-league-para-macos-e-linux-steamos-a000084314) it says that Epic Games does not support Linux anymore.
This was reported 5 days ago in proton.
This is literally the only game I want to play on Linux and it has been supported for over 8 years at least, why would they stop it right now?
What I find weird is that i’ve seen nobody talking about this on reddit, am I not getting something? Can the game still be played somehow?
Please let me know if there are any workarounds.

Disabling compositor tanks system performance
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5600, AMD 6700xt, running latest GPU drivers. OS drive is on an 500GB SATA SSD that's formatted to Ext4. My games are on an NVME 1TB SSD also formatted to Ext4.
tl;dr: PopOS with KDE had perfect performance in The Finals when I disabled the compositor with shift+alt+f12, then one day after I rebooted, it shit the bed. I was getting about 15fps, and Steam and Discord wouldn't even load until I turned the compositor back on. I didn't have backups enabled (lesson learned) so I couldn't roll back, and I couldn't figure out what to do. I install Mint and performance with Cinnamon was ok but not great, and using KDE with the compositor disabled is even worse (literally less than 1fps).
wall of text:
Coming from Windows 10, I installed Mint Cinnamon a few months ago and everything was mostly fine, and all of my single players games would run fairly well. There was some input lag for sure, and I learned a few weeks later to enable the option that disables the compositor on fullscreen apps. For some games it worked well, but for others there was still a lot of perceived input lag. I started playing The Finals and the input lag was becoming unbearable, so I gave Cinnamon Wayland a shot and it was BUTTERY smooth, but modifier keys (ctrl, shift, etc.) didn't work (known issue), and there were many problems outside of gaming through normal use. I decided to try out KDE, and performance was perfect, but Discord would stop working altogether. I decided to reformat to PopOS and immediately installed KDE since I hate GNOME. Wayland on KDE wasn't great, so I tried X11. With the compositor enabled, there was ghosting and input lag. With it disabled, it ran PERFECTLY. Literally perfectly, I couldn't ask for better performance. It was great for about 10 days, then one day, disabling the compositor would cause Steam and Discord to not launch. In game, my FPS would drop to 15 fps. I checked if there were any updates, and there wasn't anything of note. I tried uninstall some packages and doing general clean up to no avail. The only thing I can think of that could've caused these problems is that I would press the power button on my tower whenever I accidentally hit ctrl+alt+f12 thinking my computer froze. I reinstalled Mint to see if maybe my first go was due to me installing all sorts of shit (trying to rice out my desktop), and I had the same problems before on Cinnamon, but now KDE performance w/o the compositor is EVEN WORSE. Literally less than 1fps in The Finals, and most of my computer because unresponsive.
I'm at a loss, honestly. I'm thinking of reformatting back to PopOS with KDE and seeing if the performance differs at all, because I am absolutely grasping at straws at this point.

Leaf Blower Demo on Mint works
I'm a fan of PowerWasher Sim, and was told to try the Leaf Blower Co demo. I installed it from Steam, but to get it to run I had to grab GE Proton 10-4. First time it ran it said I had to install redistributables for the Unreal Engine, but they gave me an error installing them. Didn't seem to matter because the demo runs anyway.
Audio settings gives me a choice of Pulseaudio, Starship/Matisse HD Audio Controller Analog Output, and Navi 31 HDMI/DP Audio Digital Stereo (my Radeon card.) No matter what I set, saving the setting would go back to Pulseaudio and there would be no sound. Exit the game, then rerun it and audio will work. (Trying to change audio requires a restart.)
Mint Cinnamon 22.1, AMD Ryzen 9, AMD Radeon 7800 XT, ROG Strix MB, Realtek audio

lmde vs bazite vs cachyos on a ryzen 7 5700G
specs:
- 32 gig ram 3200mhz
- gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI ( 16 max shared ram for video )
- cpu ryzen 7 5700G
- nvme 500gig ( OS drive )
- usb3 4TB hdd ( game drive )
so under LMDE6 ( mint / debian based) i get an average frame rate between 25 - 37fps but im getting more and more stutters ( example of performance / picture equivalent - original / standard switch not including stutter )
under bazzite ( fedora based ) ( before it went weird on me ) average frame rate 35 - 55fps, almost no stutter ( example of performance / picture quality - switch OLED )
i am wondering if anyone might be able to tell me if i might have a better time with cachyos?
