Using flatpak gamescope with native steam?
I've tried my best to find answers to the title but does anyone know of a way to run Steam games with gamescope installed using flatpak when the steam itself is installed using the native package manager? I'm using Ubuntu 24.04 and I was hoping I won't have to switch to the flatpak Steam version, however, I had a hard time finding any info on what the launch options should be :(

HYP.exe encountered a serious problem and needs to close.
I am trying to play zzz on my deck, it worked just fine before but today I tried to open it and it keeps closing while showing this message, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing and changing the proton version, nothing works and I can't find anyone with the same problem. Is there anything I can do?

Minecraft on wayland.
I have seen a lot of posts of how to play minecraft on pure wayland but they all need patching. I seen one post that says it has gotten a lot better but it was a year ago. Now what do you need to do to run minecraft native on wayland?

Blue Prince: Game launches, but when I click "new game" on the home screen to start it, after loading for a few seconds, this pops up. Any Ideas?
These are my hardware specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 1700X
GPU - RTX 2070
Motherboard - MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory - G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series (XMP) DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MT/s CL16-18-18-38
OS - Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
Monitors - Two 16:9s and one 21:9
So far, this are the troubleshooting I’ve tried(not too knowledgeable about it, so some might be dumb):
-Toggle fullscreen
-Different Resolutions
-Vsync on/off
-Tried each monitor
-Disconnected all monitors except one 16:9
-Closed all other programs
-Played with and without VPN
-Restarted Computer
-Uninstall/Reinstall(with & without a VPN)
-Tried Proton versions: Experimental, 9.0-4, 8.0-5, and Hotfix

is mint a good distro for games and work.
So lately i have been tired of windows and wanna switch. I hear from freinds that mint is good to start out on but some ppl say it has bloat, i also am getting into coding and stuff so i dont want a full game focused distro like nobara. and well arch i hear it's good but will just make you lose motivation if you try it to early on so yea advice would help btw the games i play are mainly cpu weighted minecraft, roblox, other games. I do also play rdr2 tho so yea atleast i have a amd gpu tho 7700xt also 7 5700x so drivers should not be toooo hard. (overall i know it will prob be faster then win 11 bc well its win 11)

How do you mod Skyrim on Linux with all the corresponding programs you need to use like LOOT, SSEEdit, ParallaxGen etc.?
So, i managed to get Mod Organizer 2 working, either adding it as a non-steam shortcut, or using that install script from github.
That part is fine.
But i can't install LOOT, i get the "Internal error: Failed to expand shell folder constant "autopf"" either running it from native wine, or within the proton prefix with protontricks.
There's LOOT flatpak, but it doesn't recognize any plugins except the default ones. In MO2 i selected the portable install with profiles, and the file that LOOT is supposed to get the list from is in the mo2/profiles/default folder, and i point LOOT to it, but nothing...
The LOOT AUR version doesn't install.
Then i'd need some animation engine. Last time i used Nemesis, it got an error cause it couldn't recognize the folder structure. There's Pandora, but how do i run Pandora linux version within MO2 so it can recognize all the animations?
I'm less worried about the "non-install" things like ParallaxGen and BethINI, i tried BethINI and it works, just add the exe to MO2 and that's it, probably the same with ParallaxGen, BodySlide and similar.
Does SSEEdit work and SSEEdit auto clean? DynDOLOD works?
But what about vRAMR? That's a windows shell script. I can do without it, but it would possibly be nice to have it.
Can someone help? I know Limo exists, but i have no idea how to use it, or how to use the programs you need to run for Skyrim with it.
How do i make LOOT and Pandora work?

CS2 + Faceit
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to move to a Linux os from windows so I'm very new to this. The only thing stopping me is gaming on Linux, so just wanted to ask the community for input.
Can I run CS2 and Faceit on any Linux distro? Are there any tradeoffs compared to Windows?
Also, what about GeForce and GSync?

Streaming with steam remote play to a screen with a higher resolution than your monitor?
I've recently been streaming games on my local network to my quest 3 using steam link, I'm trying to aim for a 1440p stream, but my monitors are only 1080p so I can't raise the games resolution above 1080p. On windows it appears the solution to this is to add a custom resolution using the AMD/Nvidia control panel, but I've been unable to find a way to do this with kde/wayland is there a tool I'm missing? I have an AMD gpu.
I've also tried to use Gamescope to set a custom resolution in the games launch options. This works and I'm able to set the resolution to 1440p on my monitor but when I try to stream it using this method it just results in a black screen for the client. Is that expected behavior or should I file a bug report?
This is the gamescope command I've been using in launch options. "gamescope -f --backend sdl -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 90 -- %command%"
