Textures Issues with Ender Lilies in Fedora 42 (Steam)
Hey there. My english is not the best so I apologise for that. I want to ask to you your help. I'm trying to play Ender Lilies (Steam Version) on My Fedora 42 machine. But the textures are not rendering propertly. If i run the game without any config launch command, it doesn't show the environment and only show the shadows of the characters. I tried to use
PROTON_USE_WINE3D=1,
and it almost fixed, but it doesn't show the rain at the start screen, and also the characters textures doesn't show properly, they look like in the image. Someone else got this issue? Any recommendations to fix it? For reference, my computer has an Intel i5 12gen and a Intel Iris Graphics integrated card. Thanks for you time :3

Mounting a Disk on Linux and install games on it
I have a question about installing games on linux. I didn't have any problems with installing it in a single disk, but now I have a combination of a SSD (where the OS is installed) and a HDD where I intend to install everything else.
The problem starts when I want to install a game. I tried bottles and works fine, until when I have to choose a disk, I know that it creates a C: on my SSD to install it, but I want to do the install on my HDD and I haven't been able to do it properly.
I might be forgetting something but I would love for someone to help me a bit and fix that.
Thank you for reading!!

What's the most seamless distro?
I'm going to dual boot with fedora with the sole purpose of gaming but don't have much knowledge in this area; as of today, what's the most optimal open-source gaming distribution?
I don't play many online games, instead I just want to play some windows only offline games at high res and framerate. Things like Playdead's Inside, Little Nightmares, Hello Neighbor, etc

Got a Replacement Steam Controller Finally!
I need to start getting better cameras.
I love this thing there is just nothing better out there, so glad I could finally replace my broken one I have had to stare at Elden Ring Reforged updates unable to play because standard controllers are ass. Time to sit back and play some games instead of being on Mouse & Keyboard.

How to I play PC games on Linux completely without Valve Steam at all? [GOG] [DVD-ROM]
I'm a PC gamer and I don't even have a Steam account, I deleted it when I created my GOG account
back in 2017 ( and I've discovered ZOOM recently as well ) and at the time I had less that 70 games
on Steam ( of which half of them I have since re-bought on GOG and the other half were older games
I already owned physically on PS/XB ) meanwhile my GOG today now has 633 games. And I also have
a physical collection of old original PC CD/DVD-ROM games as well.
From my research the most popular Linux distributions "made for gaming" ( e.g: SteamOS, Bazzite,
DraugerOS, Nobara or CachyOS ) all come bundled with Steam out-of-the-box and depend on it to
do everything. This I cannot contend with.
What is the best Linux Distro and Software or whatever other technical
stuff, for running GOG/ZOOM/CD/DVD games ( and other Windows apps )
completely without Steam or any other non-FLOSS technology?

Controller advice
Which distro is best for my setup?
Hi everyone,
recently i considered trying to run some games on Linux, i tried Nobara, Pop!_OS, Bazzite, Fedora, CachyOS, openSUSE (both Leap and Tumbleweed), but the quality of game was quite shitty on every distro mentioned, constant lags, singular graphical deformations... For other people every fucking game ran better on Linux. Please give me some advices, what can i do to improve Linux gaming experience, because Windows 10 official support is ending October current year and i can't afford a better PC with modern components, cuz i'm fucking poor.

KDE Plasma will continue having an X11 session, as Kubuntu switches to Wayland by default
Bazzite compatibility With My Hardware
I'm planning to upgrade my CPU to AMD because my current one is bottlenecking my RTX 4090. Since I'll also need to upgrade my motherboard and RAM, I'll basically have all the parts needed to build a second PC (I'll still need a case and GPU).
I want to use this new PC in my living room as a console like system. From what I’ve researched, Bazzite Linux seems like the best OS option for that setup. I’m mainly trying to make sure if my current CPU will be compatible.
Right now, I have an Intel Core i9-9900K, but I’m considering switching to an AMD RX 9070XT, since I’ve read AMD GPUs tend to work better with Linux.
Is there a different GPU you'd recommend that pairs well with my current CPU? Also, is Intel generally okay for running Bazzite OS? Any other suggestions or tips would be appreciated!

I’ve been a windows user for 10ish years, finally looking for a change. What’s the best distribution for gaming?
I've got a relatively old pc but it runs well enough. It's VR-capable and can handle just-barely-not-max graphics on most games, albeit sounding like a jet engine while doing it. (Now that I'm typing this, I'm not so sure it's relevant, oops)

Rx 6700xt or 3060 ti?
Hi! I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card (1650 super). I have dual boot, but the idea is to experience all the gaming possible on Linux. I'd use Endeavour KDE with Wayland. Which graphics card do you recommend? RX 6700 XT or 3060 Ti? And why? I heard that Nvidia doesn't work well with Linux. Is this true?

Does linux support all PS5 controller features?
Basically i got a ps5 controller to mainly play Sony games. Do all the controller features like trigger effects and the vibrations work as normal or are some features missing because i asked gpt4 and that told me some features like trigger effects only work on windows?

Would it be bad idea to use clean Fedora KDE for gaming distro? AMD GPU
Hi, as in title - what is exactly the difference between Nobara and Fedora? Both aren't immutable I know there is difference in packages, but what exactly. Would it be achievable to get same performance installing these? I guess yes, but the catch is to know what to install. Does anyone use clean Fedora for gaming? I know there is no Proton/Wine pre-installed, but this I think can be easily managed using Proton-QT and Winetricks, not mentioning Steam, to get these translating layers.
I guess updating MESA is also something to take care about when running clean OS like that. What more pros and cons can You point out?

PSA if you're on Arch-based distros with AMD RDNA4/9000 gpu: linux-firmware update messed up
Thanks to Linux I am capable of running games with max graphics at 60FPS. On Windows, the platform they were created for, they were running at 20-30FPS with THE SAME HARDWARE. Linux does what Windon't.
Games: GTA3, GTA4 and Death Stranding. Played on Linux Mint 22.1 Xia.
